If you can get over the idea that you're totally in a no frills, no ambiance food court, you'll love their Xiao Long Bao! The onion pancake wasn't all that impressive but I loved the dumplings!
Another XLB hidden gem. 2 spoonful of juice.Great tasting Shanghai Style Steamed Mini Pork Buns. Size is bigger than normal XLBs and pack full of juice. They are steamed when you placed your order. It took 12mins before our’s were ready. You can see the woman making the buns right at the counter. Will definitely be back to try their other items.
Had the pan fried pork buns. While the filling tasted great and is filled with soup (which I love), the bun itself is way too doughy and not crunchy enough at the bottom.
Worth trying.Love these food courts run by families - freshly made right in front of you, usually a queue up but don't be discouraged, it's relatively quick.Flavours are true and prices are reasonable. I got the fried buns because I accidentally got the xiaolongbao from a different shop ??. Still super juicy, crisp crust, well seasoned.Cash only.
Xiaolongbao (juicy steamed pork buns) - 4/5. juicy, thin wrapper, and decent sized filling. However the meat texture is a bit tough and lacking flavour. The vinegar doesn't have minced ginger slices so lacking some depth. 5 bunsShengjianbao (pan fried pork buns) - 4/5. Very juicy, generous portion. However, same issue with meat being a bit tough and lacking flavour. Recommend eating with some chilli oil. 5 bunsFood is 4/5 but considering the price, this place is 5/5. You can see that their dumplings are fully hand made. Absolutely worth it!
The best dumpling I’ve ever had in Vancouver. I don’t like waiting for food, but I waited 30mins to pick up order and it was worth the wait. The dumpling is so juicy and flavorful? Highly recommended to try it.
They have the best Xiao Long Bao (Shanghainese soup dumplings) in Crystal Mall! The five dumpling are filled with juicy pork broth and are freshly made, along with their pan-fried buns.
生煎??♀️(juicy. Together with the sauce very nice taste. The skin is thick. The bottom fried part has that crispy yet chewy texture really enjoyed it. But overall it’s very heavy. Already felt full after eating just 3Very satisfying experience. Would come back and try more items1116菜肉餛飩?(the wrapper is not my type, soft and thin. Prefer thick and chewy one. The filling is also underwhelming, bit salty and the veggie is too little)排骨年糕?(the sauce and sticky rice are fine, but the pork chop is horrible with very very thick coating and small pork chop to the point of feeling cheated1127粢飯糕??♀️??♀️??♀️(very very oily to a point that the paper bag was damped, really disgusting. Feeling sickening after eating.燒賣?(the wrapper is thick, not my type. Bland filling.
Still my favorite place for Xiao long bao and (soup dumplings) and pan fried buns. 5 large soup dumplings filled with rich porky broth.Crispy hot soupy pan fried buns.Menu has changed a little I think since I was last here in placement.Still cash only!!! You’re still going to have to wait I. Line but well worth it!
When I visit this place all food except No.13 was sold out around 8pm(on Monday) so I recommend to go there early time. This simple dim sum was so tasty and it’s big portion. I wanna try other food next time.
