SaffronI wasn’t a big fan of Indian cuisine until a couple of friends recommended this place. I had the mild butter chicken with naan. The others ordered different dishes - saffron Thali, chilli beef, tandoori chicken, vegetarian Thali, & chicken biryani. The best valued menu items were the dinner combo Thali dishes!There are vegetarian and vegan options plus mild, medium, or hot spicy. One diner was sweating from the spicy food. Overall portions were small as there were a couple of still hungry mouths to feed.The decor is nice along with great service. Our server admitted to serving the wrong person & quickly made another dish. They’re located just west of Kingsway & Willingdon. There’s metered parking nearby. They’re open for lunch and dinner.
We ordered food around 9 p.m. and I knew they were closing at 9:30 p.m. so, I asked if it’s okay to order and girl said it’s totally fine. They said it will be ready in 15 mins. I picked up my food after 20 mins. and they definitely rushed in making. Naans were all burnt and was not eatable at all, every bite had a bitter taste. Extra star is just for the curry.

And the lamb curry and lamb biryani (too good that I forgot to take a photo) are both very delicious. I’ll be coming back for sure!

I got the saffron thali and I thoroughly enjoyed the different flavors and food portions. Friendly staff and ambient atmosphere, highly recommend :)
Great food and hospitality. It was snowing with bad road conditions and none of the nearby restaurants are delivering.And Saffron Indian Cuisine personally delivered the food, nice and warm, and much earlier than expected. Thank you and very grateful.The Dal is amazing! and so is the Biryani!
Best restaurant in Vancouver. Love the food & excellent customer service. Will definitely come back for dine-in whenever got chance. Well cleaned and decorated on point. Highly recommended!
The best Indian food I had tasted in Vancouver. I ordered for Saffron thali for lunch and it was incredible in taste and the organization of the plate was so attractive and colorful.The ambience of the restaurant was also so good and appreciable. The hospitality of the server (Deepika) was so sweet and hope to visit your restaurant soon.
A spicy kebab platter arrived sizzling from the tandoor - it smelled SO good that your mouth starts to water before you're even eating! Lots to choose from in this platter and great value for money.Also had the non-vegetarian thali that had lamb, chicken and a few tandoor items too. A dessert is also included along with the rice and naan and papad. A great option and big enough for sharing or lots of leftovers.The ambience is quiet, relaxing and soothing, with lovely artwork all over. I'll be back.
