First impressions are lasting impressions. I had a craving for comfort food so decided to give the new Popeyes a try. It’s a very bright clean space with super friendly staff and delicious food. This was my first visit to Popeyes and the cashier very patiently explained my options and gave me time to make my selection, answering all my questions. Customer service is so important and this staff member excelled at it. This young lady was super friendly, patient and kind. Within minutes my take-out order was ready and I was on my way. She even confirmed everything as she was packing it. Everything was still hot and fresh when I got home. I will definitely be coming here regularly.
This place use to be good but is terrible now do not waste your money. Chicken dry like it's been sitting out for a long time, fries are soggy and cold and over salted. I over season my food so if I think it's salty.. that's bad. Their spicy mayo taste like someone poured a cup of salt why is it so salty. Why are the onion rings cold not even warm. I thought maybe it was just that time but past 4 times with similar issues. The bread that comes with the chicken is hard as a rock the coleslaw does not taste fresh, I saw a review on here where the onion rings had mold. Are the staff here keeping food on deck for days? Feels and taste like it I have no idea how this place isn't shutdown by health authorities. This place will kill you before covid does.
I visit burnaby location on 19 janWe have two orders first of one spicy sandwich was missing and we order fries, couple of gravy , chicken popcorn and chicken pcs . And i am very disappointed the chicken pcs and chicken popcorn was very very cold and looks expired.I had to just threw everything it was not eatable.
The food is great, generally hot and fresh. The service is excellent as well. However, the last couple of times we have gone for take out, we have been missing an item. First time I got home and found we were missing a large gravy. I really didn’t want to go back so I tried calling and ended up leaving my contact info and issue. Never received a call back. The other night, I was away and my wife went to get some takeout and when she got home was again missing an item. Guess we are gonna have to start digging thru the bags at the counter to make sure all our items are there. UPDATE… emailed the restaurant as I was asked to do. Coming up now on almost one month with no response. I can see how they want to make things “ right “ Took a little bit of back and forth but they are fixing their mistake. No issues giving them 5 stars
Dec 17 - Revised my review to 5 stars, as Popeyes customer service and the Store supervisor took appropriate corrective actions to restore my satisfaction level. Thank you and I will come back to this store!- Check your take-out before leaving. Only received 4 of 6 chicken tenders in my take-out order tonight.
I was eating with my wife and son when we noticed a piece off from a scrubber of some sorts on the onion rings....it was imbedded in the coating.We ordered a lot of food and was very dissappointed. Would probably not order from here again. Shame because it tasted good.
Couldnt find a place to eat at 930pm in this area so decided to check out this place out since it would be the first time going into to Popeyes in my life.Apparently this is Beyonce favorite fast food chain to eat at but it might just be better in the states since chicken wasn't very juicy (as for some other reviewers has suggested) and it was a bit stale on the outside the spices blended together reminded me a little of Kentucky fried chicken.The macaroni and cheese tasted like it came from a powdered package and not very flavorful, pasta was mushy and definitely not from a cheese block , the mashed potato was okay but it didn't taste like it was from real potatoes and the fries were okay but nothing that made me jump to say wow this is soo good!Staff was very nice and the location was really clean and lots of areas to sit but not really good quality ingredients.I prefer to stick with Barcelos, Nandos, a local pub or bar that provides chicken wings or korean fried chicken if I was craving for this type of meal.2 stars only because overall it was still okay but nothing really special.. $22 for 2 ppl rather just would've went next door to pizza pizza or A&W for that price point but my first time and wanted to try it out.
First time ordering from Popeyes. Downloaded the app for some coupons. 2 Can Dine was around $12.99 and added $3 for upgrading to all dark meat. Also got a free pie with the coupon…was too full, will save the pie for tea time?Chicken pieces were moist, succulent and the skin was very crunchy!! The only complaint was everything was extremely salty including the meat.Loved the Cajun fries, onion rings were nice but got very soggy when we got home.Service was extremely friendly and cheerful! Thanks for taking my Monday blues away!?
The food is good and the place is neat and clean. Enough free parking outside. I would have given it 5 stars but the wait for the order is terrible. It was not the first time we had to wait for our order here. Room for improvement.
First time here, the place is humming with customers wantinh to try out this new restaurant, so was I. We ordered the 2 can dine special, 5 pieced of chicken, we asked for spicy and dark meat, comes with 2 biscuits, and 2 sides, we picked the mash potato with gravey and Cajun Poutine, all for $12.99, I ordered for myself Cajun fish and shrimp combo, comes with one side, I picked coleslaw and a drink, $9.99. That's pretty good value I must say. The taste really comes to this, if you like a a bit spicy deep fried food, you will definitely like Popeyes and to top it off I think it's better deal than most of the fried chicken places around. Also they have a seafood option.
