Ordered a few times from here and overall, the food and price are both very good. We tried the curry as well as the pad si-ew and I definitely recommend both. The downside would be the portion. I would assume that in an effort to keep prices low, the portion is on the (very) small side and I really wish there was an option to just pay more and get a portion that is filling. Right now it's kind of stuck in that middle where I simply do not get full from one order, but two orders would make it too much.
Always delicious Thai food! Take out only. Phone for when they are open as owners close restaurant often. But, it's worth any hassle.
go to thai place always . when my thai place shut down this was the best back up. i recommend the pad thai, and trying all the currys. i recommend ordering ahead as they are a busy restaurant but besides that they have some bomb flavours .
One of the best Thai restaurants in New Westminster and Burnaby.The papaya salad was very tasty and the curry was very delicious.I would definitely return and recommend this restaurant.

Lhy Thai has consistently offered high quality, delicious Thai food for over 25 years.The restaurant is small, basic, and would be described by some as a "hole in the wall." It can get quite congested inside, given the close proximity of tables to one another. This is definitely not the place to go if you want an intimate conversation to remain private.The food is made from fresh ingredients by one of the owners, who seemingly spends endless hours working her magic culinary skills in the kitchen.There are no disappointing dishes here. They are more flavourful than most Thai restaurants. Lunch special combos continue to be one of the best deals available anywhere.The other owner works the floor as waiter/host. He gets criticized by some here for his less than congenial demeanor. In his defence, it should be stated that his goal is to ensure that a quality meal lands on your table in a timely manner, rather than climb up the social ladder in your Facebook account.The fact that Ly Thai has a large customer base throughout the Lower Mainland that has been willing to travel to Burnaby for decades speaks for itself.Highly recommended.
