A few of us came here for the first time based on the positive ratings. The Korean foodies that were with me felt the food was above average at a great value. We ordered the following with ratings out of 5 stars (1 star being the worse to 5 stars being the best)Gom Tang (slow simmered beef and bone marrow broth with noodles and brisket) – 3.5 stars – just enough flavour at $$13.95Hot Stone Pot Galbi Bibimbap with 3 side dishes (assorted veggies with prime beef ribs in a stone pot) – 4 stars – slightly cooked the beef too long as it was a bit tough to chew. The best part was the crispy crunchy rice that is stuck to the bottom of the stone pot. Tasty at $19.95Black Bean Noodle (diced pork & veggies in black bean sauce) – 3 stars – small pieces of pork. Not wowing at $11.95.Original Korean Chicken (deep fried chicken in Korean style sweet chili sauce) – 5 stars – big pieces of chicken that was tasty and cooked to perfection. Sauce wasn’t too hot. Good value at $28.95.For the regular dishes and certain dishes, you received small side dishes that would accompany your Bibimbap or Gom Tang. No one was in the mood to try Korean BBQ mainly due to the price. Not all of the dishes arrived at once which was too bad.You can make reservations. There’s limited parking in front of the restaurant but plenty of street parking on Imperial. They’re open 11 am to 11 pm. The place seemed to be the locals favourite. We doubt we’d be back.

I didn’t like how disgustingly sweet their BBQ was at all. They didn’t even have hot sauce to change the flavour a bit. I’ve had other sweet Korean BBQ that was not this overwhelmingly sweet. Also the beef rib they had for their soup 55 was kind of fatty and didn’t have as much vermicelli as I thought. The soup itself was a bit too salty.Good points are that they can cook the BBQ for you and it was pretty fast. The side dishes was good, same with the soup that came with the BBQ set.Overall, I will not be eating here again. But it could be really good for someone who likes very sweet BBQ.

Really good KBBQ but pricy!?I've been here about 3 times total now over the past few years. Everytime, I'm extremely happy about the quality of food but not so much the bill and service. It's definately one of my go-to for KBBQ in Burnaby if I know I want good food. However the price is always quite expensive when it comes to the bill... expect about $40 per head (assuming coming I'm as 4+ group)

I am giving 5 stars but in reality I would give 4.6 stars. But as 4 is too low I gave 5. Food is delicious and their meat is so tender. I love cooking in the middle of the table. The staff are very friendly but a little slow sometimes and that is the only reason I deducted any points.

I've come here a couple of times. The food is excellent. I love the tofu seafood hotpot, which I always order. They can get busy with short wait staff. But the food is worth it. The raw beef tartare is also very good, which they serve with asian pear. I recommend this restaurant.

Had the combination dinner for 2 and it was amaze-balls! Everything was delicious, especially the sweet little potatoes! They were so busy and still kept really great service too. Highly recommend! :)

I have been a customer since the Bulgogi Stew was $9.95 (now it is $17.95). I now only order Bulgogi (8) or Bulgogi stew (56) as other dishes that I tried had no taste whatsoever. The side dishes are very good. The place is rather spacious and clean. They have free wi-fi and parking. Could be crowded at times.

Service was very slow despite having few customers. Taste was just all right. They will charge money for cheap side dishes if you ask for more than one refill...

Lost my reservation. Was not willing to seat our group and said it would be a significant wait as they were fully booked - super unimpressed.

I have been to Hanwoori more times than I can count and it is simply the most consistently good Korean restaurant in the greater Vancouver area. We come from North Van to Burnaby just to eat at Hanwoori.
