Love this spot! Great with friends or on your own since it’s individual hotpots instead of a communal one. The combo is a great deal, a good portion of meat and veggies with some bonus seafood, a drink, and rice or noodles. If you want to change the broth to something other than the house special it’s but extra, but the included one is excellent!
Always very busy for dinner but less busy for happy hour from 9-10PM (close). Increased their menu prices the last time I went back but now the price includes soup, drink, and carb choice (before it was add $5).I always get the chicken broth instead of adding money for a different soup base because it tastes good and you are boiling your protein choice anyway. Recommend getting only 7oz because it is quite large and you do not want to waste it at this price. I prefer the winter melon tea as my drink but the milk tea is also good. It tastes like Hong Kong milk tea. I do not recommend the fish even though it was presented very nicely. Maybe I overcooked it but it was not very smooth when eating. I tried cooking it for less time but then it had a fishy taste. Everything else is good and I always get very full.Make sure you ask for a punch card when you pay so you get $20 off when you fill up your card. You cannot stack the $20 off with the 10% off during happy hour.
Price has been increased more than 30%, it's getting real expensive. Food still taste good and services are great, just won't be coming as often now.Edit: To add some examples to my review, I'm pretty sure most customers order combos. So a Rib eye 7oz combo that used to cost $15.95, is now $24. The Prime rib 7oz combo that used to cost $24.95, is now $33, not sure how that is 10 - 20% increase.
Best personal hot pot place in Vancouver. The thing that sets those place apart from the others is the freshness of the ingredients. The seafood hadn't been frozen.The portions are also huge.
Great food, service, and selection. You want hotpot go here and eat your heart out. If you've never had a hotpot and are confused just dump it all in and eat it when it's soft.
It was my first time to dine here, and the staff is nice enough to explain how to order and the menu. Unfortunately the laksa i want to try was not available at that time, so i ordered Japanese sukiyaki base which i have no idea whats it like. To my surprise, it was delicious and i really liked it ! The combo price is a good deal, however with the meat that you have (4oz) + combo. You might not finish it all, unless you have a big appetite or so hungry. Once the soup got too salty, you can request for clear broth to adjust the saltiness. You can also take out the left overs if you want. Its a good hot pot restaurant, but i find it a bit pricey.
The broth was so delicious and the ingredients are fresh. My partner got the original #1 base (good depth of flavour and spicy), and I got #4 collagen bone broth (really good flavour). Price is worth it for what you get. I just wish the sauces had covers or were in squeeze bottles or something. The brass bowls are pretty but feel a bit... Unsanitary. Staff were friendly and helpful, an overall great experience.
Highly recommended especially if you are a vegan who enjoys hotpot! They have lots of options to choose from! The service was fantastic and the shabu shabu was super delicious! Well worth the wait, we will definitely be back!
The hot pot here is delicious and has so many great vegetarian options! There are some different soups to choose from; many of which are vegetarian. The combo is a must get! They make the platter vegetarian as well for those that want it. The milk tea is a must with the combo! Will be coming back again another time!
