Extremely disappointing experience! We ordered specific cupcakes for our gender reveal party and the cupcakes delivered were not even how we had asked. They even charged us deluxe for it and the whole party was fiasco. When we called and told them all they did was say sorry for mix up.
Quite expensive but it was a very pleasant experience. I called to order a custom cake and they were super nice and happy to accommodate my needs. It was ready on time and it looked really precious. They have such a friendly team :) I recommend!
The success of the business isn't only due to the flavour. It would help if you also were friendly with your customers. I used to be a regular customer, but not anymore. I remember buying cupcakes from here many years ago, and I remember this place serving overly sweet cupcakes. I tried them recently and noticed that their cupcakes (especially their icing) doesn't taste too sweet anymore. Cake batter tastes moist and not overly sweet.I tried the red velvet and chocolate flavour.Will definitely come back when I'm craving cupcakes!
I had lowered my expectations when I pre-ordered my Valentine’s Day cupcakes, given that this store’s in a high-traffic mall with several bad reviews. However, they won me over in the end. I ordered 6 regular Love Bug cupcakes for my fiancé. The frosting was spot-on (not too buttery and not too sweet), the strawberries looked fresh, and the cake tasted just right. They even gave me a small discount for ordering ahead, which I didn’t expect until I arrived in person to pay.I’ll definitely consider ordering from Cupcakes at Metrotown again. Their other Valentine’s Day cupcakes looked so pretty too!

Cupcakes are NOT baked fresh daily.I purchased a variety pack of "freshly made" cupcakes via DoorDash and got sent week-old cupcakes decorated in Valentines Day style (I bought on Feb 16, so, today) and the cupcakes tasted so stale, I couldn't even eat one. Disgusting, and false advertisement.

Would never buy cupcakes from here again, overpriced and underwhelming. Ordered two big cupcakes for occasion, was charged extra for decorations. When I picked them up, all it had was sprinkled on the side, the name written on it and happy birthday… I had to ask where the decorations were that they charged me for. Then the lady took the cupcakes back and put on two pieces of fondant stars.. that’s it, she even ruined the writing on it while doing so. The cleanliness, she kept touching her face , hair and then decorating the cupcakes… I guess the ones I got is garbage now. Luckily I got a cake from another bakery….
