My family’s go-to restaurant for Italian food in Burnaby (mostly for the ?). When I was in Vancouver recently, I found out they started making their own pastas in house which really intrigued me to want to go back. I always loved their pizzas, but for pasta I was so so about it. This time I went, I was very pleased with how good of a job they did on their pastas! The gnocchi was seriously one of the best ones I’ve had. The only thing personally I felt I would change is adding more dill into the seafood pasta, and having a lighter sauce. Also wanted to mention that they do a great job with the calamari fritti. The squid is fresh and tender, never over battered- just perfect??** Edit: The last two times I went here to eat I was rather disappointed. The pizza dough was super hard and tough, definitely not “Neapolitan” style. Also the calamari had little to no seasoning in it. Pasta was also underwhelming. This was my go-to spot in the area but I don’t think I’ll be coming back… at least not for a while.

Dined here with family after driving by for years. A friend recommended it so I decided to try it out. I want to start this off by saying I’m not picky with food, I love food, and I dine out 3-4 times a week for my entire life. I came here with two family members and decided to try a few things. If you decide to go here, pro tip order pasta and only pasta that can be made to order and not reheated. Garlic prawns were really good and I suspect that is because they were made fresh. The lasagna was extremely dry I didn’t want to try it but I saw it and thought no thanks and once outside I was told it was really really dry and not enjoyable. Pesto funghi pasta dish was the best we had if I had to eat here again I would pick this. Now for my biggest disappointment. I love a wood fired pizza more than anything. Always Margherita. I was instantly shocked when I tasted it. The pizza dough was awful and my stomach hurts hours later. I feel bad saying that but its true and I hate for you to have a $200 bill and hate most of the food like I did. The dough was tough and hard bread like almost. When I looked at the bottom of it it looked like thick bread not the typical wood fired pizza dough. In addition normally you can taste the cheese or feel the substance to it when you bite in, but the cheese was sliced so thin and the pizza sauce was bland and just not good. I really wanted to love this place but I’m not sure I’ll go back. Servers were polite and good. Would’ve been helpful to have knives instead of eating lasagna like cave people. It’s a nice restaurant vibe, patio is nice, timely and all that just a massive disappointment for trying to resemble authentic Italian. If you want a good wood fired pizza there are other places much more worthy

Excellent service and very tasty food

It was so good I had the Seaside gin and tonic and the Carbonara Pizza with the egg in the middle.

Great pizza, ready amazingly quick! Great serving staff, one of my family's favorite restaurants. Probably the best thin crust pizza in the lower mainland, but try the artichoke appetizer!

My partner and I came for a little NYE dinner date. The spicy pizza was my favourite and I’m so glad we took the servers recommendations for the dessert… we loved the chocolatey donuts. Our server was super accommodating to us when we were cold on the patio, she found a spot for us inside. Will be coming back for sure :)

The food here is always amazing and so accommodating to restrictions. However, our server tonight, Gala, was absolutely fantastic. She went above and beyond and really made our experience personable. So polite & warm! I had to leave a review. Thank you Gala!! You’re amazing at your job.

Amazing customer service. Our server “Gala” was super friendly and accommodating to our order.Food is delicious. And the place is clean and warm. Thanks Team Cotto!Keep it up.See you again

We tried 3 kinds of pasta, and all good and tasty. Friendly staff and good vibe. I got a negroni and it was a bit strong for me and they offered me to bring a sangria instead for free. I got a very good feeling that they cared about me. Thanks for your hospitality Cotto.

Amazing! First off the crust is crispy to perfection.Tried 3 kinds of pizza and all were different and amazing in their own ways.Carbonara with a soft boiled egg...how does this work so well?Funghi with the chili jam and goat cheese is a great combination of sweet and savory.Love this pizza and highly recommend
