Great BBQ! I tried this place back in 2020 and thought it was average but I tried it again recently and was pleasantly surprised as it had improved a lot. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with the bbq beans and it was great. The meat was moist and flavorful and the portion size was pretty good for the price. If I was craving BBQ I would definitely come back here again!

Has the BBQ chicken and beef brisket. It is amazing! The brisket was so tender and seasoned to perfection. The BBQ sauce has a bit of kick and delicious. The BBQ chicken was cooked to perfection and juicy like no other. A definite must try location if you ask me.
We decided to have BBQ for our New Years dinner and based on the reviews, tried Butchers Block.We tried the Carnivore Platter. We had 6 starving mouths to feed. We'll the Platter was stunning! More than enough protein for everyone. And we still have left overs.Everyone's favorite was the beef brisket and ribs. But all the meats were tasty and juicy.Platter came with purple coleslaw, macaroni salad, side of fries and beans. The beans were a hit as well. Platter also came with corn bread. That was a bit dry but what corn bread isn't?Must try for big party's.
We had the pork belly sandwich and the BBQ platter with beef brisket and ribs. All the BBQ meats tasted great. The BBQ beans and coleslaw were ok except the cornbread which was a tad dry. Service was good and attentive. We'll be back.
The Butchers Block, in all of its iterations (Burgers Etc circa 2005) has been a staple for the best BBQ joint in Vancouver. Their new owner took over in January 2020, and despite the ordeals of starting a business at that time, has consistently improved the quality of everything on the menu from a standard rarely matched.For instance, the beans changed early 2021. I'm not sure if the supplier changed or they updated the recipe, but they started adding small chunks of their house smoked beef brisket, and I'll tell you... I ALWAYS choose a beans side. But they've also subtly changed the entire menu in similar ways. The extra notes greatly improve an already amazing experience.Top recommendation:2 meat platter with brisket and ribs with beans, 'slaw and corn bread on the side. I'm not sure I've ordered anything else in over a year. Partially because they're my favorites. Partially because I can save the rib bones for broth. Partially because my partner will order 2 other meats and we'll share.If you enjoy BBQ meats, The Butchers Block is my top recommendation in Vancouver.
First time at Butchers Block and it was fantastic. Ordered a mixed platter w/ BBQ Chicken and Beef Brisket and delicious sides. The chicken was some of the best I have ever had, great taste that isnt overpowering. Brisket is on point too with a wonderful bbq sauce smothered all over it. All in all, I would highly recommend Butchers Block.
