cute and cozy afternoon tea spot. the rose garden set came with ten savoury + sweet items. the savoury items were unremarkable but i liked the sweets (especially the scones and tarts). the variety of the set is quite basic but generally pretty tasty. the service was friendly and i loved the tea set and decor.
Very nice place and the service is absolutely great, Although there is only one waitress and the store is very busy, she can still meet our needs and has a good attitude. The food is of good quality. We will definitely come back again!!!!!!
The food looks like something you would buy at superstore. Despite the high cost for such a cheap display you'd think they could afford ramekins instead of paper cups. 1 small serving of clotted cream between 2 people is ridiculous, each person should have their own jam and clotted cream. Trying to get cream for your tea is like pulling teeth. The sandwiches are the saddest, with one skinny pepper, some cream cheese and a leaf of some sort. They're very stingy for the price. And the service is horrible. Actually there's hardly any service at all. I've had much better high tea elsewhere. Don't waste your money here, find somewhere better.
Went there last Saturday. We arrived and we were seated, they gave us our tea. I asked for cream and sugar but she never brought it. When the food arrived, no one checked on our table to see if we needed anything or even a refill of hot water for our tea. Small portions compared to other high tea places. Your best bet is to go somewhere else. There are a lot better options for high tea. Very poor customer service. So hot recommend
I went with my girlfriends for the first time after the pandemic started. Was a little disappointed with the portion sizes and inconsistencies. I got the Rose Memories high tea and my friend got the Delectable Savouries. Mine came with glass dishes for the scone condiments while my friend got paper. Would have been nice to have everything in glass. It would also have been nice to have been told what was on the high tea tower instead of guessing what it was.
I have been to several places that serve high tea all around Metro Vancouver, including ones much more expensive than here, and out of all this one has the best scones hands down. I have been here twice about a year a part and the scones were scrumptious both times ahha. The value for the price is overall good - nothing is ever bad. They have a pretty good selection of teas at various levels of caffeine and the white tea I got most recently was very good. We also tried the clam chowder this time. It comes with a puff pastry baked on top that is buttery and light. The soup was fresh and not too salty, it also tasted light despite being a cream-based soup, delicious. The atmosphere is unique - cute, a bit tacky because the items and and decor don't always go together, but everything is pretty. One suggestion would be to have matching teapots and tea cups for all. They play calming music and the staff is kind and subdued. I like the energy. Highly recommend.Update: I went again recently and they have gotten new clear teapots that are very beautiful. The scones were still amazing <3
I treated, my wife and daughter to this place they came back with a common remark, cold tea, small portion, a little pricey for what you get the service was average. The one thing they liked was the scones. My advice is have lunch before going there. No GF options so I'm out.
The stars are given to food quality. Everything taste good, but for C$32 per person i expect to have everything in regular sizes, not minitures. Lots improvement can to be done on service and details i.e. all the pots need to be cleaned more thoroughly and everything might better be delivered on serving trays...the place is not deserved a 4⭐ in my standards.
Chill and quite, good place for you and your friends have conversation. They also hold up a wedding and other ceremony.
Beautiful venue and friendly staff
