Came back to this place for happy hour and enjoyed the air conditioning and calmness of the restaurant. Drinks were good and cheap, the two plates we ordered were good, but note that the prices reflected on the online menu is not current. Dishes are about $5 more than what is listed - quite an increase. But service was good and it was nice to enjoy a happy hour nearby without all the loudness you tend to experience at the other more popular places.
Great service! Nice place to relax, enjoy your dinner and to be able to actually hear your company. We went during the August long weekend, also Pride weekend, so the both times we went there, it wasn't that busy.We ordered the Perri Perri chicken, it came with veggies and wedges. It was delicious, but they could have sprung a bit and put a few more wedges on there. ( I think there were 6). Good thing we had the brussel sprouts (a must try) and onion soup (also, delicious)My daughter and I shared all this, so I didn't eat this all by myself ?Also note: the brussel sprout dish is a lot smaller during Happy Hour.Bon Appétit ??
One of my least favourite restaurants. Server didn’t seem to know what he was doing. Not sure if he was in training or brand new in the industry but the least u could do is have the table set up. Right when we got seated we didn’t even get our utensils, we had to ask for it and we kept having to ask for things over and over. Server never really checked up on our table. Service was VERY slow even though the restaurant was completely empty. Took forever to get our food. When the food came, I thought it was eh. Definitely not worth the wait. Not sure who it was but it was a bigger and older worker (could be the manager) was walking around and I found him a bit odd. He would go around and talk to tables for a uncomfortably long time and would just sit and stay around.Overall, not a pleasant experience.
Food was overpriced and flavorless
Happy Hour deals abound - in Burnaby 3pm-6pm simple dishes and highballs were exactly what we wanted and enjoyed immensely.
Great. Glad to be back. Will be back again. Matt was a great server. Funny!!!
Portions were really small. Food was not the best quality.
The food was not as described in menu. We had the seared salmon. Very small portions and salmon was not seared, more like steamed. The cauliflower puree was less than a teaspoon on the plate. Our beer drinks came in mismatched glasses. The calamari was greasy and tasteless. We ordered dessert however after waiting for over 10 mins the waiter came by and asked "you ordered dessert right"? We said yes, waiting another 5 mins and then just told him to cancel it. Will not go back.
For a roadside hotel this place is great. Enjoyed the sable and veal mains, starting with french onion soup.
Honestly food food was cold and not a lot of variety for the price. There were way too many people packed in there. It was loud and felt like a cafeteria.
