Nice Surprise! Small, clean, nicely decorated with various choices of seating/booths/tables/lots of windows. The varied menu offers many choices. We marveled at the presentation of our meals and those we viewed as they passed by our table. Clearly superior and upscale meal preparation by skilled chefs. Just what we hope for, thanks!
Decidedly have put this on my short list for best places to eat in St.Albert full stop.Deliciously Addictive sandwich and burgers have me considering my next encounter before I even finish my last bite!The kind of place the chef comes out to talk to returning locals.For this quaint and ambitious grill -ILL BE BACK.
I would have liked to leave a review about the food etc but we went on Monday for dinner (1st timer) based on the schedule shown in google maps but alas it was closed. I assume this wasn’t a random closing but their normal schedule.Please update your advertising on Google maps to reflect closed on Monday so other don’t do the same.Owner responded, changed my rating, I’ll have to try again so I can leave a review on the food
We went Thursday past. Third time for us. Even that says something. It was a stellar meal. Extremely delicious food. Ample servings. Reasonable prices. Will we go back? Hell yeah!
First timer! Just went today for a late lunch and was very impressed. This place hits on all points! Staff was friendly and prompt, food and drinks were delicious, the restaurant is clean, well designed, lots of natural light. They have a little patio too which is great! (We ordered the clubhouse sandwich and chipotle onion ring burger by the way) One of the partners came to talk with us mid-meal to see how everything was, which we appreciated. All in all, The Hot Grill is a hidden gem and more people need to know about it. Highly recommend checking it out!
I've only been to this restaurant once so far and oh man am I impressed. The restaurant has a nice cozy feel and nice charm to it. The food is delicious and hot when served. One of if not the best club sandwich I've ever had. Everything combined perfectly. Now it isn't a review if there wasn't any negatives. The only negative I believe is that maybe having a non alcoholic list but that's only because of my brother being under 18... Anyway that's really is minor.
I ate here the other day with my boss and coworker for lunch and the food was phenomenal. I had the lunch special which was fish and chips -which was delicious and fairly priced.The chef came out after our meal and asked how everything was and I commend him for doing so. It shows that they care about the service and food being provided to the customers.I have already recommended this place twice and will for sure be back!
Food was delicious. Waited more than an hour from ordering til we received our meal. That was a common concern as most tables near us had the same issue. We will give the restaurant one more try.

Met another couple this past Friday around 630pm. Place was pretty busy but we got seated pretty quick. We all shared a couple appetizers including the flatbread and a dip and whatnot. We only had a few little things and a couple drinks as we were on a bit of a schedule otherwise would’ve stayed for dinner. Quaint little place with a mixed menu. Prices seemed fair and the service was excellent. Easy to recommend and definitely see us going back.
