This used to be my favourite restaurant, but not after the terrible service today. I doubt we'll be back. We arrived at 4PM, the sign on the door said open from 3-8 and the open sign was lit up. We called the restaurant to let them know the door was locked and that we were at the door. When I called a man answered and said they would be open at 4:30-5 (which is it? 4:30? Or 5? If I drive away and come back at 4:30 are you going to decide you don't feel like being open until 5?) I said that the open sign was on and the sign said 3-8. He said. "I know." It was incredibly rude. The food is delicious and the service we've received in the restaurant has always been great, but this person is extremely rude, flippant and dismissive.
Jen and Company!Went for dinner after a hard fought battle on the soccer field!Every dish was fresh, flavourful and hot!Thank you for taking our orders on the verge of closure and very cold draught accompanied the dinner nicely!
Delicious, and authentic plates, it is clear a lot of cares goes into the establishment from the team.
Great little place to watch the game, play some vlts. Food is really good. Staff is friendly. All around the perfect neighborhood pub.
Great food and gluten free! We will be making this a regular spot. Service was above and beyond.
Tried Jade Village, I enjoyed there friendly service but wasn’t pleased about the meal. My friend and I ordered our meals, when we got home my friend opened his meal which was incorrectly made and my order was correct order but the taste wasn’t great, tasted like old food.
They have been in St Albert for longer than I can remember quality food at great prices.
Had dinner there. Good gluten free options. The owner went to school with my younger son!
Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing and disgusting meal. We decided to try this place out as it has been around for the past two decades. We figured they must be doing something right to still be in business. Unfortunately, we didn't have the great experience we were hoping for. Our green onion cakes (which cost $10) were completely inedible. They were burnt and appeared to have been cooked twice (maybe in the microwave?). It smelt/tasted more like burnt pie crust than a green onion cake, which was confusing. The next item we had was the ginger beef. Upon opening the container, it looked old. The texture immediately on top was noticeably off - like when a heat lamp has been roasting it for hours. It was cold (shocker) and the rest of it was mushy from the now-disintegrating breading. Next we had the shanghai noodles, which in my opinion were the least terrible out of everything, but it was swimming in liquid and tasted bland/overcooked. Last was the special chop suey, which appeared to be fresh, but frankly just wasn't that good. Save yourself from the same fate and just don't eat here. $50 and we're throwing most of it in the garbage. The owner should be embarrassed with the food they served tonight.
Disgusting. Ordered $80 worth of food based off the previous reviews. Food was cold, no flavour and looked and tasted like it had been sitting under the heat lamp. Called the restaurant and the owner was supposed to call me back but never did. Wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy.Don’t even have photos to add because I chucked it all in the garbage.
