Came for dinner, left in disappointment.Keep in mind the restaurant wasn’t currently busy whatsoever, nor understaffed. We ordered the steak sandwich with salad and The Ronald burger with fries. Drinks alone took 15 minutes. Food took another 45.The burger patty was literally CUT a quarter way in, the patty was so incredibly dry it was unreal, my lady never complains about food so I was shocked when I saw the clear cut. More on this at the end-The steak on my steak sandwich was well done, well, more like crispy and charred, tasted and looked burnt. From the time it took to get the food to eating I was starving, I wasn’t about to wait another 45 so I ate it.The Ronalds’ bottom bun and the Steak Sandwich sourdough bread came out completely soggy. Could be fixed with a simple toasting on the buns/bread.Our kettle cooked chips were CLEARLY burnt, not sure how the server didn’t even catch it. Definitely forgot them in the fryer. Keep in mind we only had 5 chips in total, they were literally inedible.Asked for the manager, Kevin, who was a pleasure to deal with, however you could definitely hear the sarcastic “manager voice” tone. He ended up giving us 50% off the meal and a free dessert. However he still left the kettle chips on, even he agreed how astoundingly burnt they were. To add on, I was told by Kevin that the kitchen likes to cut INTO the patties to see if they’re done or not. I’m sorry, I’ve been in the industry for way to long to hear that excuse. If there was a zero star option. I would give it. 50% off was abysmal for how terrible this experience was. Will never be coming back. The best part of our meals were the fries and side salad.
Kaitlyn gave us amazing service today at lunch. She was quick, friendly, and thoughtful. The food was delicious as well, best chicken wings I've had! Will be back again!!!PS - PLEASE DONT GET RID IF THE NUTELLA CHEESECAKE (and extra thank you for the bonus take home cheesecake for the bride) ??
Ordered the Cure gluten free* and the finger bowl (not gluten free).*For the french fries we didn't ask of they had dedicated fryersWith that being said the meals were delicious. The ginger chicken was beautifully presented. The cure is from the all day brunch and was served up rustic style.
I can’t say enough good things about Central Social Hall! We didn’t know what to do after my daughters baptism (planned pre Covid restrictions being lifted) and they let us book the party room! We had brunch and they allowed us to bring in a cake for dessert. The waitress was super attentive, helpful and fast. Our food came out hot and yummy. They even let us come in early to decorate the day of and make it personal. We also had little kids and they were super accommodating. Thanks!
Food is delicious! Even delivery is so good. Can't wait to dine in some day. Ordered many times and food quality is pretty consistent. Loved that they used seasalt for regular fries.
My wife and i have been going to central for years now and we had to write this review after our last visit. Our server Jackie made our date night so wonderful! For starters she was the first server to tell us her name when greeting, and was attentive and professional at her job! Her happiness just gave off good vibes. She made it our best experience yet at central, and will be sitting in her section anytime we come in!
Wow ...we had a table of 6 and did the Chef's Table, which is several courses. Outstanding!! We could not decide on our favorite dishes. Brussel sprout and Perogies were so tasty. Beef and potatoes, brocolini, pasta outstanding. The Nutella cheesecake was really good. I loved the doughnuts!!! Michael and Katie were outstanding serving us.
Had a order to go. Long story short one item in the order was not correct. Called let them know, came back to pick it up. The manager came out personally with the correct item missing, plus 2 other food items and an 6 pack assortment of beer. He apologized and thanked me for coming back. They went above and beyond and truly care about your business, I would highly recommend Central the food is always consistently good!
My girlfriend and I visited this restaurant for brunch on a Saturday during “peak hours.” It was a great visit. Both of our food came out awesome, we each had a couple of the non alcoholic drinks which were outstanding. I’m embarrassed to say that I don’t remember our servers name, but she was great as well, very genuine and attentive.
There was two of us, we went for dinner on a Friday at about 7. Our server forgot one of our entrees so we had to wait about 30 minutes until the second came out. The meal that we did have, we were unable to eat because we didn't have cutlery. We sat for over 30 minutes until the server returned with our second entree (we were then able to ask for cutlery) and to take our order for a second round of drinks, at this point we had been there for over an hour - served one round of drinks and 1 entree. The "manager" walked past us numerous times and didn't seem to notice an uneaten plate and empty drinks. Before manager #1 left for the night, he said that our food would be comped plus a drink each. Manager #2 approached us later on in the evening and seemed to be quite confrontational (body language, tone), informed us that only one meal would be comped and whatever the other manager promised us wasn't his issue. We honestly didn't feel safe around manager #2 - it seemed like he wanted to fight and that the buttons on his shirt were about to burst. We apologize for our meals not being served at the same time, won't make that same mistake ever again - we'll just eat one plate and then wait for the next. It was also our fault that we couldn't find cutlery. - we should have looked harder. It was also our fault that the manager made promises that he couldn't keep - mighty neighbourly bunch of people. We were there all night and had a large tab by the end of it and the fact that he couldn't comp the meals was pathetic. The food tasted alright though, shout out to the kitchen.
