We had arrived from British Columbia by plane late and Alberta was an hour ahead of us . When we went to sushi 11 their kitchen was closed so we could only order sushi and salad. The salad was good although I would’ve liked some of that sesame ginger dressing on it I’ve had another Japanese restaurants. But when the sushi came and was put down next to me I could smell it ?being hungry I tasted two of them and my husband did too it was not good not fresh and the worst sushi we have ever tasted in our lives?. We told the waitress we could not eat it because it was not fresh nevertheless she charges the full amount. We ended up going to Boston pizza for dinner and getting a hot meal so it was an expensive night.
The food at Sushi 11 is always awesome. I go there for lunch once in a while and it's great! The lunch bento is a great variety and plenty of food. The beef is seared just right and has a nice flavor. The tempura is perfect, you tell these guys really care about the food every time I go there. They have had a great Playlist going every time I've been there too, highly recommend trying it out if you have not been there before. Thanks for all the good food guys!
Sushi 11 to me seems like a casual Japanese restaurant that is not trying to be too pretentious and it definitely caters to the western pallet when it comes to their maki offerings, being that they are dressed up with tobiko and various sauces.I had a rainbow roll and also the maki and nigiri bento, I would have to say that the bento was really good value for the money, it came with a generous amount of food. The tempura that came with it to me tasted like it was premade frozen instead of made to order. The service was pretty average, for lunch time it was a bit slower then I had hoped but I still got back to work on time.Overall Sushi 11 is just average, it's your standard sit down casual Japanese restaurant that has all of the items you would typically see at a place like that. It's a good option for those that are close by for lunch and it has decent pricing.
Took the family here for dinner on the weekend and was amazing service and food. All the sushi was fresh and delicious. It's small but the quality is awesome. The artwork on the walls is also cool and the decor is fun. Will be back.
We had the combination sushi boat, shrimp tempura, miso soup and the banana tempura ice cream. It was all so good! Definitely will be returning and recommend to others!
This place is a hit EVERYTIME!! We have enjoyed their dishes at least a dozen times and not one complaint. One place I'm not scared to try anything new.
Horrible. 50$ for water and mushed sushiSeafood udon comes with 3 shrimp the spider roll you can’t even pick up with finger. And they still charge you $50 I’m just saying my bad experience is not someone else’s. I’ll never order from here again
I've been to MANY sushi restaurants in the past, not only in Edmonton, but around Canada an I must say that this was the BEST sushi I've ever tried. SO fresh, so delicious and the business owner along with the person who served us were the kindest. Thank you for a great experience.
Ordered the Unagi lunch special for take out. Staff very nice, offered water while we waited. Lots of food as pictured including bonus orange! The California roll had very nice, flakey, creamy texture. Best I've had in a while. Unagi well cooked, sauce not too sweet. Would definitely go again.Make sure to check out the paintings on the walls! The chef painted those!
I got dinner at this place for the first time and I felt I had to introduce this restaurant to others because I had an amazing experience!!! The food tasted fantastic and the customer service was great. Staff welcomed us very friendly.Sushi, seafood udon, edamame (dont have the pic) tempura were SUPER DELICIOUS and they were fresh as well. The tempura was crispy outer and soft inner overall, it balanced well. I want to visit here again and bring my friends for an important events.P.s. Just want to say that the boat among the photos was customized.
