Very cozy pub, reminds me of home where I used to work. Friendly staff, Mickey very pleasant, great service! Definitely be back!
Real European pub and an amazing atmosphere to match. The staff was amazing and the food was great. This easily became our favorite place to go. Special shout out to our very personable host Mickey.
Nice quiet place to stop by for a pint or two. Food is good and reasonably priced. Saigon cuisine is right next door. This pub has been around for a long long time. Cheers!
My wife and I has a mixed visit last night. Really enjoyed the music, it was a bit loud for the small area and number of people there but Todd is very good. There was only one song I couldn't identify.The food was not as good as I hoped. The potato skins were cold and an odd number on the plate. I've never seen that before. Usually, there is an even number. They were good but would have been better warm.I ordered a steak sandwich. The steak was done medium as asked. The problem was the steak was a little tough, compounded with the lack of a steak knife, was an issue. I also had to season it with salt. The fries were great. Nice to have malt vinegar.Ordinarily, I would have sent the steak back. I didn't because a member of our party had created a scene and gotten herself kicked out. I feel that the working manager tried her best to deal with the situation. My wife and I were embarrassed with our friend's behavior. I'm not sure if the manager could have calmed the situation down, our 'friend' was certainly not helping. The manager could benefit from additional training dealing with problem customers.I do hope that the manager doesn't get punished for the way she handle a bad situation. This is a place I really enjoy. It has a great pub atmosphere, the owner and employees are all friendly and personable. They always have things going on like music bingo, trivia night, darts or you can even pick from a selection of board games to play. Also a great scotch selection! Great people and great food.
I stopped in for lunch on Wednesday, and everything was awesome! My server (Mickey - hope I spelled that correctly) was informative, friendly and professional. You could see she was passionate about her job and interacting with everyone in the room.And then the food! The homemade gravy, the fish and chips, and the potato skins were all just awesome (clearly, cause I was dining alone and yet I cleaned each plate despite originally thinking I’d take some home).I’ll definitely be back. This was a great experience and is great for anyone looking for that neighbourhood pub you don’t really see as often anymore!
Loved it. Great food great people. We have lived here for yrs and never tried this little gem of a spot.Beer (Tap) selection was great. We had some amazing Pub Grub. What a fun time!
Incredible experience. If there was a better star rating I would choose that! I would highly recommend Oscars! Great food. Great atmosphere! Went there pre pandemic and it was also incredible food and service. Post pandemic (if that's actually a thing) same thing great everything! Incredible. Beers of course are great too! My husband and I were going out for a date night and after seeing the great reviews on Oscar's we decided to give it a try. Received a warm welcome when we got there, but after that we had an issue with service and decided to leave. As we were walking out the person who had greeted us asked why we were leaving and after we explained he asked us to stay and give them another chance. I am so glad we did! The food was amazing. We started with the mozza sticks and then we both had the steak sandwiches. I can't remember the last time I had my steak cooked to the exact temperature I asked for. I have absolutely no complaints about the food, everything we ate was exceptional. After the initial bump in our visit, I have to say that the employees are very nice, helpful and make you feel that you actually matter to them. We will definitely go back!
Looking for a place for lunch and reviews mentioned fish and chips. The fish was delicious. It was cozy in front of the fireplace. Oldies from 60s and 70s was great to listen to. Hubby had a Guinness and I tried an original 16 Prairie White. Both were great. Ginger caramel pudding for dessert finished off the meal. We will be returning to try other items on menu.
