Came here for my birthday dinner. Waitress and staff were wonderful. I come here at-least once a month and I’m very disappointed in my experience. My steak came in at medium -medium well when I asked for medium rare. They took care of it right away and got another one started. Hey it happens, no big deal. I was fine waiting as everyone ate their meals. I believe the manager dropped off my new steak and left before I cut into it. My steak was again more medium to medium well done. It took some time before the waitress arrived so I just decided to eat it. When I showed her she agreed it was definitely not medium rare. She said she would speak to the manager and figure something out since I had already waited so long. Then she came back scared to request that the kitchen needed to take my plate back to verify my steak was actually overcooked. After a few min she returned and said the chef said this is actually medium rare!? I order steaks from here regularly. This isn’t like anything they’ve ever made for me. Either their chef changed or they were just in denial but I won’t be dining here anymore. To spend a bunch of money here every month or so and then made to feel like I’m crazy to think this isn’t medium rare is very disappointing. Some patrons next to us came over after seeing what happened and agreed it was over cooked. The manager never came once to speak to me about it. I do not recommend.
Fairly nice place. Came here for a team dinner and to watch the hockey game. Nice big screen in the bar area where we were sitting.Appies were pretty good and they have a good selection of beer / wine / cocktails. Got the steak and sushi which was pretty good albeit the steak was cooked more than the medium rare that I had asked for (so maybe ask for rare). Had to leave early so didn't get try any desserts.They also have a pretty nice patio as well.
Service was good! Food was delis ! Birthday kids liked it !
I had an amazing dinner experience for my husband and myself celebrating his birthday last night. To start, the service upon entry was wonderful and the hostess was amazing. The server we had during our stay was absolutely top-notch as well. Jonah was above and beyond in my expectations with his ability to be polite, attentive, and make recommendations/alterations with my meal. Big thanks to the chefs because The food itself was a 10 out of 10 for us. I would recommend anyone to come here if they are looking for the best dinner experience out there.
Had the pleasure of dining at Joey in Sherwood Park on Saturday, May 21st, 2022 for lunch. As normal the food was great, but I really want to commend our server Mo. What an absolute delight he was, so personable and friendly and attentive. He made a family gathering even more enjoyable and special (thank you for the surprise donuts for dessert!). Go to Joey SP for the tasty food but make sure you ask for Mo as your server, he is one of the best and I will be back more often because of him!
Alex, our waiter was good, our location was awful. We were in the corner with the air conditioning blowing on us on a cool rainy day. I told the hostess it was our 51 anniversary. My meal of shrimp and lobster ravioli had to be eaten quickly because it cooled down so fast. I wanted to send a private email, but that option was not available.
Very friendly from the moment we walked in the front door. Wednesday is 1/2 price bottles of wine. Could not have been better. Chesea was our server and helped us from start to finish, including suggesting the awesome creme brulee cheesecake with strawberries which was light and perfect after our meal. Both of our meals were cooked to perfection. My steak was medium rare and did not disappoint. Cody, the manager, stopped to say Hello and made us feel very welcome. I love the openess of the restaurant (all the windows) and come the warmer weather, we head out to the amazing patio. This is definitely our 'to go' restaurant. Highly recommend coming here.
We had the pleasure of experiencing Joey Sherwood for the first time on Sunday night and everything was just perfect! We met up with another couple and had planned on going somewhere else but it didn’t look great, so ended up in Joey (We were very familiar with the chain as we have eaten in most, of not all, of the Edmonton locations). They are consistently good. Something about this particular experience prompted me to write a review. Our server, Hannah was exceptional. She had the right balance of friendly and chatty, yet unobtrusive. She was there exactly when needed and her service was wonderful. One of the managers, Mo, came over to say hello because Hannah had told him it was our first time at Joey Sherwood. He was so very kind and friendly. It was a lovely touch and made us feel special - that kind of thing doesn’t happen too often these days, so was greatly appreciated. Always have good experiences at Joey restaurants, but this was above and beyond. Very, very happy.
Our server was Daniel C and he was absolutely wonderful. Very attentive and kind. While he wasn’t serving and tending to his tables he is seen cleaning up the area. I often see servers on their phone between serving but never once have I seen him pull out his phone. I always have another level of respect for that. He was always very good at clearing the table of dirty dishes every time he came to us or walked by. Our food was delicious too, so shout out to the cooks as well! This location has our business.
First time there.Our server really struggled. We all felt so bad for her. So many boo boos. 45 minutes for our one appetizer, 65 minutes for the lunch entrees. First time there. We heard all good. We are going to say it was one of those "one off" episodes.Add insult to injury, when the food finally came , the guacamole and chips were mistakenly prepared with a ton of salt, although I love my salt, and love guacamole, it just couldn't be eaten after we got each person to try it, all agreed. It was prepared so well and looked so good it had great potential......., We are sure it's not regularly like that.All the other food was very good and I wish I could give it five stars, and we will go back again and give it another try.
