Extremely rude staff! Despite the yummy food, if you want to be insulted due to asking if you can switch out an entree with a different one(with letting her know you're okay with the extra charge) this is your restaurant. The server/front help was made this experience horrible. And I'm not exagerrating, after I completed my takeout order with her, she scoffed and said under her breath next time I'll just charge you double for that. if changing entrees are such an issue you could just say so, simply by stating that the menu is the way it is. I will not recommend this place nor will I ever come here again. Worst service I have ever had in my life. 0 stars.
*****5 stars***** in Taste, Quality, Quantity, Ingredients, Freshness, Packaging, and Temperature. Chose option for 4 people which gives you a lot of food. This was such a wonderful take out order I could literally taste all the hard work that went into the food!! We had a menu in our mail and decided to give it a try we will be back!
The pork dumplings are otherworldly. Still the best Chinese food around! (In all of Alberta honestly, and I have tried countless places all over, especially down south (Lethbridge) and in the Edmonton area.)
Great food but what happened to the pricing? Two months ago my same meal was $20 cheaper? So long golden capital…..
Ordered for new year and meal was cold and decreased on the amount of dishes. If they are so busy they should decrease their orders. Might go to another restaurant next time
Good food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. Ambiance is a bit cold, but otherwise very good.
Their food is quite flavourful. I really enjoy their single dinners combo B. It has a variety of things in one combo, which I love! The staff are nice. Wait time is reasonable, but I've only done takeout so far. I look forward to trying other dishes from Golden Capital!
Wow what a fantastic restaurant!! Absolutely amazing food and they customized 5 dishes just for me to be gluten free. Take note my friends this restaurant gets 5 stars for being celiac friendly for me and I’m super sensitive!!Ps I don’t make these kind of posts until I have tried the restaurant at least 3 times!! Eat in or take out ask to talk to the front clerk or the chef and they are more than willing to make suggestions for you!!My favourite so far is the sesame chicken gluten free style ( very sweet and sticky delicious) & second place goes to the special chow mien(light, yet packed with a combination of flavours) !!???
Don't waste your money! They're way over-priced, the seshwan chicken and salt & pepper calamari were disgusting, and ended up in the garbage. The calamari was one tiny piece in a huge clump of batter..for $19?! The only reason they got one star is because the other dishes were okay..mediocre at best. There are far better chinese restaurants in Sherwood Park than Golden Capital. Again, don't waste your money! ?
Slowest restaurant ever! Would highly recommend NOT placing a take out order! Was told 40 mins on a very simple order. Arrived in 49 mins to wait in the restaurant full of smoke from cooking for ANOTHER 30 mins!!Order placed at 5:05pm and I left with order at 6:19pm! Restaurant had no one in it! 2 people left before me even though I was there before them!They had me pay when I arrived and I left them a tip….would never had done that!VERY DISAPPOINTED! Try to support local but they are making it pretty hard!
