I made reservations for six in the the beginning and had to adjust the time and number of guests to nine subsequent to the initial reservation. The restaurant was very accommodating to adjust our request. However, the seating available was for outdoors only without any heat lamps. It was a little uncomfortable with regard to the cooler temperatures. The menu selection was limited as one third of our party ordered the Bison ribs only to find out after the order was placed that the kitchen advised our server they were not available. The wine list was limited when it came to ordering by the glass. One of the guests ordered the Sea Bass that arrived uncooked in the middle and after sending it back she never received her substitute order until everyone had finished eating. Presentation was tasteful but the value did not meet our expectation. One would expect a restaurant of this caliber to set their standards slightly higher. I cannot sincerely recommend this establishment to anyone.

The absolute best meal we have ever had. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We were never made to feel rushed. 5 course dinner was amazing from start to finish

Amazing atmosphere, great delicious foods, oh those potatoes are the and omelet are the best, service was great, I really loved everything about this place, cozy, and private, best place for dates nights, I will return for sure,

I had a the bison rib eye for 79$. Was only okay. Nothing amazing. Bison was cooked uneven (half was medium well-done and the other half was rare) and tasted like curry (not in good way). Potatoes are deep fried, the taste of old vegetable oil and overly salted wasn't a good experience. Carrots were borderline undercooked and the asparagus were bitter.I would say same quality as any casual dinning (earls, moxy) but double the price.Would not call it fine dinning.

Visited for a delicious brunch. Total perfection

This is a really nice place to eat with an excellent ambience. Set in the trees and great spot to take a date. The menu has a good selection of traditional steak house items with some bison and lamb choices as well. Menu prices are on the high side, in fact, the highest I have seen in Red Deer for any type of cuisine. We were a group of 9 or so for a business dinner. Everything was just okay. Nobody at the table was super impressed with either the appetizers or mains.I had the bacon wrapped bison tenderloin which was luke warm, overcooked and expected more from a $70+ plate. This was my second visit. My first was a date and I recall it being better.Even though we were the only table in the restaurant at times, maybe the staff was short for dealing with a table of 9 all at once.Probably give them another shot some day

The Westlake Grill has some of the best food available in Red Deer paired with great service and a warm, relaxing, and romantic atmosphere. We love the local meats and produce on the menu, along with the unique and delicious desserts. (If Yak is on the chef's special, get it!!!)

Friendly staff, the food was delicious. I had the bison burger on Bannock.

Very interesting location with beautiful natural habitat all around. Staff are extremely friendly. We went there for Mother’s Day brunch and were the only ones there (during time of covid and right before restaurants were about to close). Our server started a outdoor fire pit for us and we were provided with blankets for the chilly weather. They have hammock chairs to relax in around the restaurant. Food was good. Want to go back there to try the regular items on the menu next time!

Great service, wonderful meal. The Havarti BLT was amazing and way too much! I can't believe I ate the whole thing!
