food and service was awesome
We loved the pasta and the calamari starter. My steak was overcooked but they ended up giving us a discount. Overall happy with our experience.
Was pretty good! Steak was cooked perfectly, the meal could have been warmer tho.
My husband and I went here for the Valentine’s Day promotion dinner. It was absolutely delicious. We had Caesar salads and Bang Bang shrimp( So DELICIOUS) for starters. For entrees I had the sirloin steak feature with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband had the pistachio crusted salmon which also was served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. To dismiss the meal we shared the chocolate brownie and ice cream. We shared a bottle of Red Wine to accompany our dinner. We come to State and Maine often , never disappointed. It’s our favourite neighbourhood restaurant!!!
Edit 2022/01/20: We went back today and everything was FANTASTIC! We knew this place was our favourite for a reason. :)We usually have a great time at state and main and have been back many times. We went today for our anniversary and the food was great but service wasn't. After we got our entrees, we waited about half an hour without seeing or hearing from our waitress, or any others. We ended up leaving our payment on the table and heading out.
Everytime I visit I have the best experience. From Management to the Hostess you get the best service and the friendliest atmosphere. The bar tenders are all very skilled making your signature drinks, and they have a great selection of beers on tap. The menu loaded with excellent choices sometimes hard to decide, but you can never go wrong with the Main Burger! And during happy hour it’s the best deal in town!
I Absolutely love State and Main. My fiance and I have been going for years. Love the food and the atmosphere. The servers are always very kind and the place is very clean.
Kalee, & the enchiladas are my fav!All staff does a great job working together and it's visually very clean/well kept every time we go.
The main burger and the staff are definitely one of the best in red deer. I eat everywhere around town and definitively I can say that it is possible to have a bad experience everywhere… to all the negative reviews out there I have this to say… give places in this town numerous chances to prove who they are and why they are here. I have had bad days everywhere, but I understand that I am paying for conveniences and not certainty. Absolutely love the bar and all the staff here! Keep up the hard work and the drinks flowing! Anyone who orders take out and judges an entire establishment should not have privileges to comment. ????
Not one to write a bad review but have now had a few situations were they have missed food items in a delivery order. Not only did they not answer when I called but after arriving at restaurant they then noticed there phone was just sitting there dead. Than after waiting 15-20 for them to make my missing items. I get to my car to realize they again missed items. Going back inside I was offered no compassion to now having to come back in twice for there mistakes. Highly do not recommend this place.
