2 Stars only because last time they weren't terrible and before that they were not bad at all. We took the Opportunity to show off our local Popeyes Chicken to our guests who traveled to Red Deer for an extended stay. Unfortunately the Cajun fries were stone cold and Dry. The chicken was not much better temperature wise and the dark and white chicken were not where we were told they are as we asked to have them packaged separately. Hope this review finds the appropriate individual(s) who are as concerned about quality as the customer would be to take some action as I feel we all would have had a much better experience with KFC. Hope you can turn this place around and regain some positive feedback in the future.
When this fast food joint first came to Red Deer the variety and taste of their food was top notch. But the best menu items are now gone (Creole chicken) or have had ingredients replaced with inferior ones (soggy/greasy sandwich buns). Chicken is still decent and the biscuits are to die for but not much else pulling me to come here as often.
I got my chicken super juicy, fresh and flavorful without being too greasy. The breading gives it a great flavor and crunch, and I was impressed with the quality of the chicken itself. The chicken didn't look or taste like a mass produced like KFC lol. I love how the stuff being friendly to all the customers and the manager always checking up all the guest on every table. This is the second time I have ordered online from them for an order to be ready at a certain time and this is the second time they haven't had my food ready. They are under staffed and don't seem to care. This second time takes the cake. They had only one person working the front counter, so I had to wait for people to order first before I could ask for my food, then they didn't have any mash potatoes which was two of the sides we ordered, it took them a long time to make replacements, didn't give me a tray for the 3 drinks that were part of the order. When my food was finally ready to go there was another guy who came up to talk to a manager and he had been waiting 30 minutes for an order he placed online. By the time we got home, our burgers and sides they had ready at the start were cold.
You get a lot for what you pay for and the chicken is super crispy on the outside and cooked well on the inside. Fries are really good too. Biscuit though is super dry and the onion rings were not crispy at all. Bathrooms and restaurant is very clean and well kept and staff are very friendly! Has picnic tables outside.

I love Popeye's! The spicy chicken sandwich is my favorite, and the Cajun fries are elite. I very much recommend this place - my go to whenever I'm in Red Deer
Love this place! The chicken is hot, crispy and fresh every time. I usually get a chicken sandwich and some nuggets for the kids and a pile of fries and gravy. We've also had the popcorn shrimp, butterflied shrimp, chicken strips and a couple regular pieces of chicken. All of it was great! Only complaint is the price. Costs me at least 20 bucks to fill my belly, last time I pigged out, bill was 58 bucks and all the wife had was a chicken sandwich, there were no leftovers...
Chicken is really good. The wait time is a bit long and they don't really have amazing deals. But the chicken is delicious, the sandwiches are a bit dry but good. The gravy is delicious.
Really kind workers. Went just before they were closing feeling pretty bad that they had to serve someone just 2 minutes before closing. I Ordered a medium fry and they gave me a large. Really appreciate who did that.
