Took 2 hours for food to be delivered, when called to check on ETA was told that it had left 15 minutes and they would phone back, no one called back. Wife called back about 10 minutes later, was told they were busier than expected and food had left maybe 10 minutes ago. We understand that it can get busy but at the hour and a half mark if they're that busy at least call and let customers know you're busier than expected and there will be a delay
This is our go-to Chinese food restaurant. What we have learned is if you want the freshest food go at 11:30 am or 4:30 pm. We were there at 2:30, and they were not making fresh items, and the ones there were dryly and some crunchy (noodles shouldn't be crunchy). We will still go back.
Our server told us after we dished up buffet for our children that we wouldn't be allowed to order off the menu because there were too many take out orders. This should have been explained to us before we sat down. Also, you would think people who come here to eat would take priority. Never eating here again. Also, the buffet tasted old and stale
We had to wait for over an hour to get our food even though we had placed an advance order earlier that day. No consideration from the staff, no discount offered and when I asked to speak to the manager I was refused. The food may be good but the service, delivery and attitude of the staff needs massive improvement.
Been enjoying the buffet since it opened. Best in town. Staff are pleasant. Sweet and sour pork and beef and broccoli are my favorites. The won ton soup is pretty good although it can be greasy at times. Buffet is set up nicely with a good selection. Service is good and I can't recall having to ask to have my water glass filled. As of one and a half hours from now we will eating at the Phoenix Buffet.
Food is very good and the reception is competent. They used to be my go to place but after my last couple experiences with them I will be ordering from elsewhere. Their servings used to be very generous so much so that we couldn't eat it all. Now we don't have leftovers for the next day. $48 got me 1 order of rice, 1 order of sesame chicken & 1 order of ginger beef. Just not worth it. It's too bad, I miss getting "to much food" from these guys.
I paid $4.50 for extra sweet sour sauce and spring rolls that I did not receive. And there now to busy to hear my complaint. But other than getting ripped off the food is pretty good and fresh.
One of my favorites stops in Red Deer..
We were first time customers tonight and we were very impressed with the service and quality of the food. The amount of food also surprised us. Very good amount for leftovers. We will be back!!!
I would strongly suggest to stay away from this business. The owners loyalty lies with the government and not with the customers who keep them in business. The government mafia will not support you once they have accomplished their goal of snuffing out small and medium sized businesses. Make sure you remember this when you go out of business, and you will, it's just a matter of time. Consider your allies carefully, your customers are not the enemy. You were far too excited in your attempt to coerce me into complying with tyrannical government rules. This experience occurred after I had paid/supported your business for a take out meal and I was on my way out. As I left I reminded you that you lost a first time customer, you said "I don't care". You could have just kept your mouth shut! Also, wear a diaper on your bottom if you insist that customers wear a mask on their face.Food is OK, nothing more exciting then fast food. Would leave a zero rating if possible. Owners ego has ballooned since being given "power" to illegally demand medical status of customers.
