We were pleasant greeted by the owner and he explained all the dishes. The food arrived hot, plentiful and delicious. My son had the rack of ribs, my wife had a beef burrito and I had a beef fajita. Every thing came with a generous helping of rice and refried beans. I tried the spicy salsa which was very hot but delicious ( use sparingly). We definitely return to Jose Jose
This food is not Mexican, as many reviewers say. It is el Salvadorian. There is a difference. We didn’t realize that and kept wondering why the food was so odd in comparison etc hollandaise sauce on a burrito and fajita? The food was good, service was attentive.
This is such a great little restaurant. The portion sizes are large for the amount they charge. The atmosphere is very homely and the flavors are great too. Highly recommend
Fantastic King Enchiladas Entree. Beefy, cheesy, creamy goodness. With sides of sour cream and guacamole. I love the authentic mexican spice, very flavourful and very spicy the way I like it... makes my nose run. Generous portions. Prices are excellent. Owner is very friendly and a wonderful cook. Best local authentic Mexican restaurant - I will be returning to for sure. Highly recommend this place!Excellent food, service, and prices!
Living in BC now, I miss this place as I can’t find anything like it here. This is the most authentic mexican food I’ve eaten and the closest taste to I had in Cancun. The lovely owners just makes this place more homey.
Awesome little whole in the wall Latin restaurant. Had the hard shell tacos and they were awesome. The 1-10 spiciness range seems to be based on a volume of what goes into it the food. So 1 or 2 could still wind up being quite spicy. However if you're not a regular they typically give it to you on the side so that you can add your own to taste.
Great food, and staff were really fin to talk too. Food is very very flavorful, even when you get them to make it spicy. Be careful not to make it too spicy, but either way tons of flavor, and it is a good spice. Eaten at alot of Mexican places in Calgary and red deer and I would say this is in the to 10%. Lastly bang for the buck is really great you will easily get 2 meals out of most of their dishes. Highly suggest you check it out.
Very great food and great portions. Nice and authentic with very good flavors! Very cool interior with lots to check out and really cool paintings on the wall. The staff were super friendly and made sure we were taken care of and everything was really positive. Please visit this local restaurant.
What a hidden gem! The enchiladas are the best I have ever had. Love that you can choose your hot sauce level from 1-10. I got the #8 and it was amazing. We also got the empanada and it had the most tasty corn bread batter ever. This was a truly a treat, and a new found favorite. Very authentic. The owner is so endearing. You can tell there’s love and care put into every dish. The ambiance was also great and we felt like we were actually on a mini holiday right here in Red Deer. La comida aquí es la mejor!
Excellent friendly staff, the food is the best Latin cousine in Red Deer probably all of Central Alberta for sure. The pricing is very reasonable. Family run business, Highly recommend
