City Roast might be my absolute favourite soup and sandwich spot in all of central Alberta (and coffee shop, and dessert spot). I work downtown so I visit them all the time for their specials, but even if I didn't work close by, I think I'd make a special trip. Their food is fresh, unique, homemade and delicious. Their staff are super friendly and everyone is so welcoming and kind. Today I had their butternut and barley soup and I swear I died and went to heaven. Thanks for providing Red Deer with your delicious food and drinks!! 5 stars! I highly recommend :-)
City Roast is a great little coffee shop downtown owned by wonderful people. They have a variety of quality coffee and great food. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and it is adorned by beautiful art for sale by local artists. It is great that they support the arts.
Even if coffee was good (but way too strong) I have to give 2 stars for the customer service and the inside of the shop, extremely small, not pandemic friendly and way too pricey. $8,50 for a ridiculously simple sandwich.
Had a sandwich, hummingbird loaf,and a Canadiana. Staff was great to my little girl and she had a great visit

Great coffee, good prices, and gluten free options!We arrived just as they were closing and they still cheerfully served us. Excellent customer service.My only gripe is that I wish they were open in the evenings.

Googled best soup in Red Deer and you popped up. So we jumped in our truck and drove the 45 mins to check it out.I have to say your squash soupDid not disappoint. Thank you for an Amazing lunch, Great atmosphere, and friendly staff. Can’t wait to try the hummingbird cake we brought home.
