I'm in awe that Medicine Hat have Takumi! It's a small restaurant that can only seat 10 people (the only cook is the owner that's why they can only serve so much). Me and my boyfriend waited sometime because it's very busy but we don't mind! We noticed they have lots of take out order. The food is sooooo good! Very good Ramen, rolls, gyoza and takoyaki!!! (all that we ordered). The owners are so kind and sweet too! Will definitely come back! Highly recommended!
A hidden gem. With seating for 10, takeout orders, and a modest kitchen, Chef is able to create culinary masterpieces this city has long been waiting for. The Ramen is perfect in every way. The ultimate comfort food. I had the feature Ramen with duck and black truffles, the duck melted in my mouth. The truffle's were perfectly balanced by the broth. I could go on and on. This is my new favourite place to eat, it should be yours too.
This place is outstandingly good!! I eat sushi on a tegular basis back home in ottawa, but I have yet to find a place like this. 100% recommend this place, small, friendly and sooo sooo delicious. Please go and check this place out!
Food arrived in a timely manner, had a few different rolls, some yam tempura, and bulgogi. Everything tasted fresh, flavor was on point. Will definitely will going back. Well worth the price. Rice was not clumpy or sticky which is usually the case locally.
Our new favourite sushi spot! We have probably ordered/dined in at Takumi over 10 times now, and every single time we are so happy with it. We ordered it for a group dinner last week and every person was texted us the following week double checking where to order from. Try it once and you will be converted forever. Quality ingredients and really kind staff.
This is my favourite restaurant in Medicine Hat. No matter what we order it always exceeds our expectation. Everything is just so delicious. Best ramen I’ve had, and some of the best sushi in town! The chef is so talented and the rest of the staff is always professional and kind. 10/10 would recommend!!
Since moving from Edmonton we’ve been on the search for a good ramen place in Med Hat. This place lives up to those standards with amazing ramen and fresh sushi! To add to the experience the restaurant itself is very clean and the owners are so kind! Would recommend!
Definitely the best sushi in Medicine Hat. Very friendly staff. The omakase nigiri is always fantastic, as are the pork gyoza.
It's very hard to find a talented sushi chef. And we don't get to enjoy sushi as often as we like, but this place is phenomenal! Thank you chef.
We tried Takumi last night and the food was delicious,, service was number 1. It's worth a try,,you won't be disappointed at all. Yes,,it is now our go to for Japanese food.
