This place is always an experience and the food is nothing short of incredible.For the price of a high end burger I got BBQ beef, sirloin tips with Gouda cheese a tangy Sauce and fresh mushrooms.Throw in some crispy fries and don’t forget the pickle garnish!Mom had the lamb and again, they did not disappoint!If you are in the Hat, stop for an amazing bite to eat at Rustic!
Recently took a large party to the Rustic Bar and Grill. The service was incredibly friendly and very accommodating when we needed to make changes on the fly. The menu is delicious!! Every person loved their food! The starter focaccia bread is light and fluffy. The appetizers (we had the scallops and lobster dip) were to die for. The Nashville chicken and seafood linguine were soooo good. Definitely will be returning.
I haven’t been to this restaurant since the beginning of the pandemic. After our dining experience last night I will be back in the near future. I attended with a large group celebrating an anniversary. Overall everything about our visit was fantastic from the food to our serving staff. I had the pork schnitzel and it was delicious and abundant. Highly Recommended!
Food was good when we eventually got it (quite slow) but easily the rudest, most impatient waitress I’ve ever encountered. Was part of a large group and she was not receptive to anyone’s questions or requests. Was annoyed by anyone speaking to her, and was condescending if anyone asked a question. When we asked about dinner specials we were told that she wasn’t going to tell us what they were until everyone was back at the table (one person went to the bathroom) because she “didn’t want to have to say everything twice”. Also, the bathrooms are downstairs and the only way to get there was down two flights of stairs. Good luck to anyone with a physical disability. When you reach the bathroom there is no handicap stall either. I don’t believe any of us will be returning.
I just arrived in Medicine Hat for a long work stay, and this was my first stop on my restaurant hunt, and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere and decor is lovely, not too high end, but warm and inviting. I sat in the lounge as I was solo dining and it was just as nice in there. The service was attentive and friendly, you can tell the manager (sandy?) is a favourite and makes everyone feel at home. I had the Alberta sirloin entree-medium rare. The steak was cooked closer to rare with a cooler red centre, but I prefer it that way anyways. The sun-dried tomato herb butter on top was to die for. The potatoes were so cheesy and delicious as well. I recommend the gold Cadillac margarita if you’re looking for a good cocktail as well. Lots of friendly people and a fun local dining experience, I’ll be back for sure!
The reviews I see aren't wrong but 5 stars has to 'knock it out of the park'. I dined alone, quick seating, awesome staff. Bacon wrapped steak ends were good but sparse and lonely with only a dip for accompaniment. The two drinks are hard to mess up. 8oz steak ordered medium rare with side Caesar salad and grilled baby potatoes covered with fav toppings, for a thin sliced strip I'd say perfectly cooked, the salad tasted like an anchovy oil and not a paste was used but fresh tasting, potatoes are wonderful and indulgent. No dessert ordered. Waitress Les was lovely, appeared new to the menu but saved it by just being super pleasant. Worth a visit and I'll return to try more.
Server was friendly and engaging. The food is delicious. Had home made Saskatoon Berry pie for dessert... Top notch! The restaurant local sources ingredients as well.Only criticism is that the wine list is missing a nice Italian red!!
If you're ever in Medicine Hat, you must eat here. The service and exceptional food was a lovely surprise. We were served by Sandy. Her recommendations, knowledge and bubbly personality ensures that we will be back. The fried chicken is a must!
Ordered the Scallops and Bacon to start, with the Beef Duo as the main. Scallops were perfectly cooked. The thick cut bacon beautifully smoked, and the sauce that came with it was amazing.The Beef Duo was the star of the show. Ordered the tenderloin medium rare and it came out PERFECT. the shirt rib came cleanly off the bone. Everything was wonderfully seasoned. 5/5 tenouttaten will DEFINITELY make this a stop when I am in Medicine Hat. Go here.
Rustic burger was good! Mac and Cheese was a little bit rich. Enjoyed our meal overall.
