I took my 94-year old mother here for dinner. There are about 4 disability parking space so good first impression! The restaurant is in a former water tower so the view (especially to the south) is all encompassing. All tables have a view...the inner ring tables are elevated to ensure a view. The menu is interesting and there is something on it for everyone. However, it is not 'run of the mill' fare...there is lots of variety and protein to choose from: steak, prawns, shrimp, chicken. We each had the steak salad (small eaters) and it was one of the best I've had (fresh ingredients, steak cooked and sliced perfectly, dressing on the side). The desserts shine and are obviously house-made; again, something for everyone (well, maybe not a fruit salad!).
We got the dumplings and seared salmon. Well made, great price for the quality. Service was always there but not annoying. Great people will be going back. No pictures of the view that's something you just have to experience.
I’d love to report good things- the ambiance is nice and the food pretty good, but our recent two visits have determined we will never return. The service has been terrible both times- terrible enough to decide trump all that may have been good. At one visit, the waitress refused to put in an order for a dessert, since she’d gave to go to the kitchen upstairs and it would take a very long time. We told her we were in no hurry- which she should’ve realized since the timing and service to this point was horrid. She stared, quite blankly, until we responded and decided to seek out dessert elsewhere. We later thought we’d give it another shot- possibly it was a one-off server issue. Nope. Our next visit was with a large group. To make a long story short, all 7 others finished eating by the time my meal came. The worst part was there was NO communication along the way, none in the form of ‘it’s coming shortly’, or ‘so sorry- there was a mix up’. It just didn’t come, without explanation. Very disappointing customer care. I did try to connect with management at one point, but had no response there. Luckily, Lethbridge has many incredible restaurants (Miros and Mocha Cabana bring my favourites) so I won’t have to give this joint a third try!
Jody, was our server, for our table, 109, 6:00 reservation on July 16th, for our 56 anniversary. Jodyâs service was fantastic, courteous, polite, informative and most efficient. Over all excellent and hopefully being rewarded for her services. She is a very valuable employee. To the Manager- the noise level is not pleasant & we will not recommend your eatery until the blinds are repaired or replaced. Diners book to enjoy the view not to be subjected to an uncomfortable sun tan. We await your reply to our evaluation. Everett & Beverley
The food food was delicious. We had great service. Menu selection had something that all of us liked. Prices were what you should expect to pay for good food.
I went for lunch with a couple of friends. We each ordered a different item from the menu. I ordered Fish and Chips. The fish wasn’t as advertised. It tasted like it had been cooked before then deep fried to warm it up. My 2 friends had similar experiences with their meals. The service was good. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. Not overbearing. She didn’t hover. However because of the poor quality of the meals none of us will return.
First off the ambience of this restaurant is wonderful. The staff were outstanding too. The food was quite good. The chefs could however pay attention to the descriptions on the menu so the guest gets what they are expecting. The chocolate madness cake said it is served with fresh fruit. One half of a strawberry is not what we expected for served with fresh fruit. Also I had the special which was supposed to be honey glazed salmon which came with a fruit compote, which was lovely but again not what was expected! Expect the unexpected and you won't be disappointed!
I like my steak WELL done. I know, I know, everyone says, that's not how you eat steak. :) Well I'm paying the 40 bucks, so I want it well done :) It was still pink when I got it, but they took it back to the kitchen and cooked it a little more. I was happy with my steak. It's a pretty good place, I'd go back again.
Excellent service however very overpriced - $6.50 for a pop for the kids Food overcooked Quality mediocre compared the the duster restaurant Cattlemen Chophouse Not likely I’ll go back
The hostess said they dont have open table anymore, so they did not have our reservation, thankfully they had a table
