The best Chinese restaurant in Lethbridge! Definitely order the salt and pepper squid! Super delicious!!! Highly recommend.
Although the taste was okay, all of the dishes containing protein were very VERY chewy and filled with cartilage and fat making it difficult to enjoy. Additionally, if you are going move to a “take out only” business model, it might be wise to automatically send or at least suggest cutlery with all orders as part of your own due-diligence.I would not order from here again. Out of the “crispy” ginger beef, lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, chop suey, and rice; the plain steamed rice was my favourite part of the meal.
If you are craving Chinese food, do not choose this place. The chow mein was 90% cabbage, the ginger beef was bland, and the sweet and sour pork was so chewy I barley could get it down, they aren’t afraid to charge you though. I wish would rather have ate the dried up croissant sitting on my counter, total waste of time and money.
We were actually shocked that so many people loved the food at Mimi’s. I will admit we received copious amounts of food in our combination plates and were given additional plates of food because we spent over the minimums, and the staff were friendly during our pickup, but that’s where the good news ended. Bottom line is that almost every single dish that we had was one of the worst examples of Chinese food that we’ve ever tasted, whether it was the fried rice, the chow mein, the deep fried chicken wings and won tons, or anything else that they had in the combination plates. Everything was either really greasy, tasteless, or just lacked the variety of elements that go into Chinese food cuisine. Very disappointing and we won’t be back.

Food is tasty. Service is good. Often closed for "kitchen reno"...? Decor needs an upgrade. It is clean but feels a bit dirty as it is in dire need of a face-lift. Nice buffet lunch when allowed re covid.
Portions are more than fair and the food is always great. The staff is super friendly and welcoming; 10/10 exp. We recently moved to Lethbridge, so we haven't been able to dine in due to covid - but we look forward to being regular customers when we can!
We were craving some Chinese food while in town and decided to try Mimi's. We ordered ginger beef, which was pretty good; lemon chicken, also good; and chicken chow mien, which was mostly cabbage and a little under seasoned. The staff was friendly, the food was hot and ready when they promised and met our expectations. There was lots of food for leftovers too. We would have liked to dine in, but covid-19 really but a damper on date night once again. So we ate in the van in the parking lot with the seagulls. They get a 5 ⭐ because every restaurant deserves a 5 ⭐ for surviving during the pandemic. Thanks Mimi's
