Staff is full of drama. Tracey was very rude to her coworkers but super polite to customers. They state they are kid friendly but don’t have any proper cups for them, no high chairs either.. why say it’s family-friendly/kid friendly if they aren’t?Food was great.
On arrival there might have been 10 people including the staff.(4-4:30) I have reviewed this restaurant in the past and loved it. I went there specifically to have the “steak and mushroom pie”with a side of Caesar salad. My husband ordered the“jack the ripper”both arrived cold to lukewarm. My husband was hungry so ate his lukewarm . I call the waitress over and showed her that my meal was cold and the filling to the pie was a congealed , the Caesar salad was distinctly vinegary… she agreed to have it made over with fries as a side. My husband was able to eat his entire meal before their second attempt arrived. I peeled back the puff pastry and the inside was indeed hot BUT was the consistency of thick glue…it was disgusting. The waitresses comment was “eat what you can” I would love to speak with her boss…I know it’s hard to find good help these days but really! Sadly your favourite pub is NO more!
The most delicious pub food in town. I've at various times had a huge portion of curry, heaping corn beef sandwiches, and most recently a steak and mushroom pie, all accompanied by the fantastic "dusted" fries. The chef is creative and highly efficient, getting the dishes out timely while still piping hot. Great pub atmosphere, full of everything English and decorated in the classic pub manner. Always a pleasant experience, and our wait staff have always been friendly.
The serving was a fair size, but the price is a bit much for what you get, unfortunately. The waiter was very helpful and did a great job.
First few times we came in, the service was SOOOO slow. The people who came in behind us had their food before we even got our drinks, or put our food order in... However, the food was so good, we came back. Next couple times weren't awesome due to slow service, a crying baby (in a pub after 9pm... smh), cold, etc but, again, the food was so good. The last few times have definitely made up for it. Tracy is always so fun, and very knowledgeable. I'm so glad she's at Kingsmen now. We went in, the other day, after I had lost my job (it was insisted upon by our friend), and she could tell I wasn't my usual self. She gave me a hug and said some really nice things to help cheer me up. We always enjoy our time with her.Love the English music they play, the menu is delicious, and if you have Tracy, as your server, you'll be well taken care of.
Came here to have lunch and visit with a friend. Staff where very nice and it had a fun chill vibe! I had fish and chips and it was very good, lots of flavor. I definitely dont have any complaints, everything was nice and clean. I would definitely check it out, neat little place!
Super busy place tonight, and Tracey was amazing. Never seen a server running so fast and nailing every single table with a smile. So awesome. Full house and happy amazing helpful staff. Great experience. Will be back soon.
We had the fish and chips...delicious!Their homemade cheese cake was also to die for!Not only are the chairs so comfortable, but the atmosphere was like a warm, unique English pub that makes one not want to leave.TRACY was the icing on the cake when it comes to service! When we left, it was packed, so I'm not alone to be happy to find a hidden treasure! We will definitely be back!
I wish I had taken some pictures of the food. We had a large party of around 25 people and our server was Brenna the service was absolutely amazing they accommodated late changes to our numbers. The service was quick and I loved the food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great night out.
Tracey our server was friendly and welcoming. She was quick and efficient with our group of 16. Food orders were accurate and delicious! I’ll definitely eat here and bring customers back!
