The service and food was amazing. Just a little place but amazing. Every time we went in for dinner drinks. It was great. The hotel needs to promote it more.
The breakfast deal for Holiday Inn guests was actually a pretty good deal! $7.50 plus tax for 2 eggs, potatoes, choice between bacon/ham/sausages, and toast. Along with coffee or tea. You pay for the voucher at reception.I stayed 2 nights. First day I went over to Starbucks thinkin I'd save some money, but it ended up being $14 for a latte and a sandwich. The next day I thought I'd try the breakfast here and was surprised by the portion and quality. Would definitely recommend!
Food and Service was great. Nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. Burgers are fantastic and a great value ?
I come to Grande Prairie 1-2 times a month for work and have always stayed at this Holiday Inn location. Rooms are comfortable and the front desk staff are among the best in the business with their friendliness. However, the cleanliness is starting to take a bit of a dip here. This stay upon entering the bathroom I found nail clippings on the floor and dust buildup around the baseboards. I know they’ve moved to housekeeping every 5 days due to covid or now likely a cost savings measure going forward, but I would think the room would still be thoroughly cleaned between guests. This is the first time I’ve encountered something like this here so hopefully it’s an exception, but if not and I encountered something like this again I’d likely switch to one of the other many chains in town…
As a gluten-free individual, GF is often a challenge. I had a burger here, and the burger patty itself was fantastic! The flavors where great, and was better than many burger joints. The GF "bun" was simply two piece of GF bread. Better tasting than some, but nothing amazing about the GF bread option. Will go again in the future when someone wants to join in again. and for anyone who is able to eat that glorious gluten filled buns, they looked amazing!
The location is good pending on where you work. I have to say that this is possibly the worst Holiday Inn I have stayed at caused by a few issues. As a traveler I am unfamiliar with the area and we stay here because of ease of the breakfast; however, there is no breakfast included as they have their own hotel restaurant. This strikes me as a money grab not an extension of the great Holiday Inn Label. Other chains will give you a breakfast voucher for that restaurant. The second major is the the hotel only offers cleaning once every five days. Even during Covid crazy days I have seen a maximum of three days between cleans which is still a long time frame. This is from other Hotel chains but ALSO in other Holiday Inn's. I can honestly say this is one of the worst guest services I have seen. I believe this Hotel in particular is using covid as an excuse not to have to pay employees to continue a great service as per usual. I am thoroughly disappointed and will now be taking a break from staying at this chain as is my crew.
Food was excellent. Complament to the chef
Stayed during a cold snap earlier this year, it was great the hotel has energized stalls and underground parking. Room was spacious and nicely decorated. Very clean! Bed was very comfortable. Only complaint I could have would be if you are on the front side, you can hear the motor traffic, it is on the corner of two major roads.
Never had an issue until today, steak was way over cooked, and tasteless, twice i had to send my daughters food back. The server was amazing same with the manager, neither of them looked impressed with whoever was cooking the food. I give 3 stars for the server's being awesome and doing what they could to ensure we had a pleasant stay. And we only paid for half my meal. Y'all need a new cook.
Got Salmon BLT. How can it go wrong with salmon and bacon? That was very good. Ciabatta bread and fries were good with it. Nice little tomatoes slices.
