Zaika is a typical desi buffet food restaurant, It's a family owned business, with the owners checking on their customers, making sure everyone is taken care of. Good variety of food, love the Fish Pakora and Tandoori Chicken. Friendly staff. They have a few veggie options which were awesome too.
The quality has really gone down in terms of taste. Food was very bland and curries were watery! Not authentic at all.
Best customer service …. Best food… We ordered Fish pakoras and tandoori chicken… One of the best food I have ever ate… Staff was amazing
Food was very delicious. Prices are really good. Decent selection and they dont skimp on the spice. Servers seemed to want us out even though there was plenty of space.
Always challenging predicting level, of spice in those places known for spicy dishes - “is their definition of mild the same as mine?” Here, generally under spiced, so recommend you add to the level of spice you request. Dishes ordered mild had almost none, medium was not enough. Dishes hit and miss, samosas were huge and very good, would order from here again just to have these, but other dishes nothing outstanding. papadums probably worst I’ve ever had. Soggy, no crunch, and literally with no spice. Daal was good, but heavy on salt. Naan good. Portions were generous.
5 star service, Gary was great to deal with and ensure we are taken care off, beer selection is awesome. if you are looking for upscale Indian restaurants with proper authentic food, You should give them a try You will not be disappointed. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We will be coming back. Cheers!!
Tried their buffet on a weekday. The restaurant/bistro is clean, tidy and well maintained. The hostess/server was welcoming and thorough with providing refills of water and naan. The buffet menu fair with price point regarding the number of items they served. Tandoori chicken, fish, chat, raita and butter chicken tasted amazing. However, the goat curry was a pass. Overall the food was mild (spice level) but tasted good. Would visit again.
Okay so I'm going to preface this by saying the food is really good. I have enjoyed everything I have ordered. However, I have ordered take out twice and something has gone wrong both times. Little things, nothing enough to stop me from ordering, but still dissapointing. The first time I ordered I didn't get my entire order. I paid for two pieces and naan bread and only recieved one. Not a huge deal but I had to share my naan bread and "Joey doesn't share food".Second time I ordered I specifically asked for no onions on the dehli chaat and thst was ignored. They were easy to pick off, so again not a huge deal, but it was slightly annoying. Still delicious though.Honestly, I will probably order here again. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. The food is delicious.I will, however, be checking my meal before I leave now.So 4/5 stars.
They gave us uncooked biryani and Manchurian. We were celebrating for one of our friend and we came out very disappointing.I have tried almost all India restaurants in Edmonton, we kind of felt cheated here. Never expected this from Zaika.Paneer dishes are good but the quantity is way too less for $20.
We celebrate our Daughters 1st Birthday here on a friend's recommendation. We were very impressed by the quality of the food served. All of our guests enjoyed the food and gor great service and were looked after very well by the staff definitely coming back for more ?
