We went here on date night on a spontaneous whim.Honestly, the first thing I like about Washoku Bistro is that it's open later than a lot of the other sushi restaurants. It seems like many others close around 9pm but Washoku is open a bit later which was super convenient for us and led us here. Washoku is located on the corner of 107ave and 124st, right beside Northern Fried chicken and across the street from The Lot.It wasn't very busy when we went (again it was later in the evening) but staff was friendly and inviting. Washoku has nice little private sectioned off tables with screen dividers, so it makes for a nice intimate feel. There was a fairly standard and large selection of food and all reasonably price. My partner is vegetarian and there was good options for him, even a vegetarian sushi combo. Both food and service were good and we were glad we stumbled upon this place. Would certainly go back here again.

The food hear was fantastic and the Service was great. This is definitely a must visit location.

Walked in randomly with a friend. Sushi was actually very filling and large, and very delicious! Got special rolls Victoria and Aburi Salmon. They have mini booths for around 4 or less people that were very cozy and chill. Not cheap, but pretty standard price for a sushi place. Would recommend Victoria roll for something unique & rich

I came here years ago and it was amazing. I’m super happy nothing much has changed. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is nice and clean. I can’t wait to eat here again ☺️

Everyone should know that all previous reviews are for the old owners. This restaurant is now under new ownership. My first review was 4 years ago and I was there monthly if not weekly. On my first visit with new owners I was served frozen mango shrimp and when I pointed it out nothing was done and I was still charged. Hopefully they take better care of other long-standing customers because they have lost this one.

Incredible food and service. Our waitress and waitress in training were so polite, fun and checked in on us just the right amount of times. The food was so good, especially the fish, so fresh and yummy. Best sushi I had ever had!!

A friend took my daughter and me for dinner recently, and was convinced we needed to try 8 or 9 different items off the menu. From spring rolls, sashimi, tempura, several types of sushi and chop chop, teriyaki, beef bulgogi, and udon soup....it was all amazing. So much more then we could eat! Very fresh fish, excellent preparation, it is without question the best I have personally had anywhere, and the service was very good. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Edmonton.

This place is quickly becoming tops for me in Japanese cuisine. Super delicious food and consistently great service.

Good food freshly prepared. Lovely server. Liked the layout with semi private areas as well as open dining areas. Definitely would go back.

Such a nice atmosphere, everything tasted SO FRESH. Loved the semi-private seating areas, made for a good date night.
