Today was my first time coming to Volcano. Upon entering, my party was quickly put at a table and had our drinks and order taken.Personally, the bun bo hue lacked flavor; it tasted like the normal beef broth and a bit of hot oil on top. It was not spicy at all.Service wise was very poor. Within the 30 minutes after our food came to the table, no one asked how our food was. The table was cluttered with empty plates and bowls. We even had to get our own soy sauce from another table for the maki. No one came to fill our empty cups.Overall, the food was pretty good. However, the lack of service left my experience feeling rather lacking. Hopefully the next visit will be better.
First time trying this place and pleasantly surprised. Some of the best tempura I tried and the bento box is great value. Good mix between high quality sushi and lots of food, while being not too expensive. Would come back.
So went back to this place my norm is the house special but wanted beef stew on a rainy day. Iv had it at several other establishments and all where great and tasted good and held there value.Volcano here in edmonton south for the beef stew was disappointing it was 80% noodles and 20% beef stew. So thick I had to add water that was served to me just so I wasn't picking up the bowl with the stew.I know stew is to be thick but not that thick so I can build a fence with the chop sticks and destructive test it in edmonton wind storms. I was looking forward to the stew. The taste is good but I feel like the crunch was just passed onto me and ripped off with filler of noodles..
Excellent service and great selection. The pho was great although the noodles were a bit soft which was not an issue. The booths are private and comfortable and the atmosphere is modern and fun. I'd recommend this for even semi-formal occasions. I cannot compliment the staff enough for being friendly and helpful. This will be a regular visit for friends from out of town.
When we came, our orders took quite a while but they have the best dragon eye roll I've ever had! just wish the service was better and quicker
A fantastic dining experience. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming and has something for everyone. Great service, great ambiance, very clean. Prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are excellent. The dining room offers a nice view of the bar and the kitchen so there is a lot to see and fortunately there are no TVs which I personally find have no place in a nice restaurant. The Japanese menu is excellent and they also offer a Vietnamese menu. Highly recommended.
Good staff and clean environment
This place is so good!!! Our waiter is always Archie and he’s absolutely amazing! So chill and hilarious, every time i come here i always leave with a very satisfied tummy and a smile, this will definitely be my go-to place to eat!
Absolutely incredible sushi and a very enjoyable dining experience! The servers were very kind and attentive.Our party of 5 ordered an array of rolls, but our favorites were the avocado, volcano, erotic, yam, california, and dynamite. That’s almost every roll we ordered, so that says a lot! I can’t choose a favourite. I also recommend the seaweed salad as an appetizer.
Our first time here. We love the food here authentic flavour. Service was excellent, we got complimentary potato fries ☺️ too.
