This is a favourite spot for our work lunches. We are able to order, enjoy lunch and get back to the office in a timely manner, even when the restaurant is busy. I recommend making a reservation and multiple visits to try everything on the menu. The curries and drunken noodles never disappoint.
I've frequented Viphalay so many times over the years. The food is always absolutely delicious and reasonably priced, with the best coconut rice in the city, imo. The service was not the greatest the last time I was there (really curt server), but it has been ok all other times.I recommend this venue and can't wait to go back!
Friendly service, good prices and excellent portions. Never left feeling hungry. Great little place if you're looking for food downtown that is a bit out of the way. Not a huge amount of places to sit so it probably wouldn't hurt to phone ahead some days.
The papaya salad was delicious. Pictured is the brown curry with fish and orange cashew chicken. Everything had great flavours! Can't wait to go back and try other things they have!
One of Edmonton’s best hidden spots! The food is a 10/10, the staff have been there a long time and are great, and the spot is quaint. If you’re not going to have dinner here, you’re missing out!
We tried viphalay for the first time last night. Oh wow! We had yellow curry and drunken noodles and they were the best we have ever had. The vegetables were all cooked to perfection, the flavour profile was perfectly spicy, sweet and fragrant. The gentleman who helped us was very enthusiastic and kind. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes. Delicious!
Their food is delightfully consistent. We’ve been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. Everything is so flavourful and priced fairly.
