First time experience was great. Service was superb. Great beers and food, even for my vegan wife.

It's very spacious and comfortable (though in a basement and dark, as advertised by the name) and they mainly serve beer, no cocktails. But the beer, food, service and atmosphere all exceeded expectations. We ordered and recommend the arugula-beet salad, duck-gravy poutine, pesto, and creme brûlée. Would definitely return.
Hands down the best servers in the world, most friendly and best pub owner and chefs!! As a women, this is my safe spot! ..and great selection of craft beer!!
I was happy food was dope felt like I was eating art good atmosphere beer was not out of this world tasted like slightly different colors lights maybe I should have drank them faster good waiter nice music and ambiance thier were absolutely zero issues for once I half to say thier desserts are the bomb and they look better then they do on the menu pictures in real life how rare is that lol
This was my second ever visit to The Underground; to say my expectations were exceeded would be an understatement! I had the duck breast, my partner had the night's special, a steak with a wild mushroom bourdelaise sauce. Both dishes were sublime, the sauces complemented the meat perfectly. Everything tasted hot and fresh, and the desserts were also excellent. Service from Rob was also a highlight of the evening, he was extremely attentive and very friendly the entire time.
Ordered the UG burger and it was cooked perfectly. Side salad was also great. Would recommend.
Visiting from BC and staying nearby. Met with friends that live in the city, and they will be going back. We all had a great experience. Waiter was friendly and the food was great! All four of us enjoyed our meals. Thank you

Went here on a third date and I recently returned with the same man after three happy years! Wonderful service, and the beer selection was GREAT! We also were shocked at how inexpensive the food was for how good it was! Unique atmosphere in a great location. Highly recommend!
