Ordered takeout. I’m impressed by the portion… very small! The rolls are the tiniest compare to any Japanese restaurant I’ve been to. Tempura is over fried(dark and dry). I will not come again
My sister ordered for the family. The quality of the maki that we got was not an enjoyable experience. The avocado was over ripe. The quality of the rice was inconsistent. Some maki was over cooked and mushy. Others were undercooked. The foundation of sushi is the rice, you can’t let this go wrong…
Good food but I paid extra for noodles and they gave me rice.. didn’t offer refund or to take it back or anything so I was kinda upset. I’m not a big fan of rice so it was disappointing they didn’t offer to replace their own mistake.I also felt a little judged as I came in around 4 when I haven’t eaten since 5am earlier that day… lady was “oh your really hungry” in a super judgmental way, even said “rice is healthier for you anyway” when they messed up my order, like???? I’m pregnant and a little big right now so I felt super judged and she’s probably fat phobic. But do people eat before they get food now a days????????? needs way way way better customer service.Food was 4 stars, service would be negative if I could.
Extremely good service and insightful ownership! Food also very good deal for what you get. The poke is wonderful. The Alberta beef sushi... well, it wouldn't be my first choice, but everything else was delicious.
Ordered 2 Poke Bowls and 1 Feature Roll.Genuinely surprised by how stacked the poke bowls were.Loaded with your selected proteins and plenty of shredded carrot and bean sprouts.Mine and my partner's reaction was pleasant surprise as we had to literally DIG through the large portion to find rice at the bottom.Normally with poke many places don't give you nearly as much fish and toppings, and much more rice.Toyo on the other hand does the opposite.If you get the poke here you will not be hungry after.The Feature Roll was good too, but the poke left an impression.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. friendliest, cleanest and sooooo yummy. very very fast but not in a bad way, you can tell it's fresh. the cooks know what they are doing. the hand cones are amazing. if i could give this place a 6 i would. left satisfied and amazed.
First time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered the poke bowl . It was a bit disappointed because of way too much crispy crumbs and too less rice. Every bite was crispy, not my favourite kinda of poke bowl . It’s like I’m eating crispy crumb bowl not fish bowl if your know what I mean . Sorry… it could be better !
I ordered from here for lunch just about an hour ago through skip and I’m now home from work with food poisoning. I had the beef bento which tasted ok, but the beef was kind of off. I figured it was just cooked with something else that made it taste different but now I’m thinking it was just bad beef.This was my first order from here and will be my last. Never again
Beautiful platters and great friendly service. Tampura was not as crispy as I would have liked, and the fish on the sushi didn't scream fresh.
Loved the greeting we received as soon as we entered. We got lots of help with the unfamiliar menu. And enjoyed the dinner very much. The “taco sushi” was awesome. Will make an excuse to go the west end again so we can go there again.
