I've been to the Next Act a handful of times over the last few years. Every time it has been a great experience. I've come in with 2, 3, 5, and 8+ people and no matter what, it's always awesome. They have *really* good food, good tunes playing, and the staff are always friendly and helpful :)The PB+J burger is one of the best burgers i've ever had, and the spinach dip is to die for. Love this place! Only thing I have to add is it can get very loud when it's busy, just because of the tables in the middle of the restaurant, they don't have anything to separate them so the sound just travels really easily. :/ Other than that, i have no complaints about this place and would recommend for just about any occasion, except maybe for dinner with the grandparents.

So good here. The service was great. Billy was amazing. The caramelized onion burger that I had. The Critic. And the the Producer were great. Producer had caramelized mushrooms. The Critic was with caramelized onions. Soo good. The Spinich dip?! Just get it. Naan bread HOT with tortilla chips. Was Soo full. Wonderful staff and really good music playing quietly in the background. They had brand nubian and black sheep playing. True hip hop music. There were other selections too. They got trophies for their burgers consistently. Great place.

Wow! We had a PBJ and their special burger. I highly recommend their PBJ burger, it’s savoury and sweet in a really nice way.The service at the bar was amazing as well, the recommended good drinks that complemented the food. Overall, a great experience!!

My wife and I were looking forward to eating here, because of the hype. Getting in was a pleasant experience: they were busy so they asked us for a name and a number to text us and then we meandered outside until we got the text. But that's where the pleasantries end. They charge $5 for a can of "craft" soda that had less flavor than heavily watered down fountain pop. I might consider buying it again if it was 25¢/can, including deposit. The burger ("The Critic", ironically) had plenty of meat (probably a half-pound patty), but it was bland and over-cooked, and the pulled pork my wife ordered was dry, bland, and had way too many onions. Their fries were the best part of the meal and were pretty good (overlooking the fact that they were too salty and more than half of them were tiny -- half an inch or shorter). We would've been happier if they had sold us day-old fast food - even at their wallet-gouging prices. The pub-like atmosphere was very noisy, and the service was sub-par: the waiter asked us how our food was, literally just as we took our first bite, and then didn't come back again for the rest of the meal... Took three times to flag him down afterward for our bill. The Next Act is equal parts over-hyped and over-priced. For a $50 meal for two, they delivered a $5 experience (and even that is being generous). Avoid the hype, protect your wallet, and eat elsewhere.

Great experience overall. Tried their Jalapeno Jack Sticks which tasted great. Falafel Wrap was just okay maybe because it didn't have any sauce inside. Poutine with vegan gravy was very good. I am glad they offer a few vegan options.

Possibly the best burger in town! I had their Cameo burger, which, I am told, changes its ingredients from time to time. Totally loved it. My friend ordered the Pyrotechnic burger. I had a bite of it too -- was amazing! Great service by Nikki!

Good burgers here. Service was nice and friendly. Local beers on tap, also good.

Honestly, Next Act is always legit. One of the best mac and cheese in town, def get the bacon on it. The PB&J burger is always good, and for starters cant go wrong with chips n dip. Also.......I can't lie the PB cookie they had for dessert was WILD ?????

One of the best burgers in Yeg town! Service was slightly slow but in their defense they were full...parking is an issue for that location too but we were lucky to find a nearby spot! Our server Olivia was very pleasant, attentive and delivered the orders perfectly as per our food choices...we had pyrotechnic burger and their gigantic, fresh out of the oven Nachos tray, which the menu doesn't mention but is good for starters for 4 people. Over all really a good experience! Thank you

The server was very polite. The food was good and consistent. It gets pretty busy so make sure you book ahead if its a date. They have a heated patio so thats very nice.
