Really nice vegan place for any meal or a snack. the place is amazing all around with wonderful food, great service, and a lovely atmosphere. Prices are reasonable as well. It's my first time going to a vegan restaurant and I had a great time.We shared the jackfruit crab cake, the purple yam risotto, and the berry cheesecake between two people and we walked away with full bellies. The jackfruit crab cakes were crispy on the outside and a little mushy on the inside but still very good paired with the coconut sauce. The risotto is very flavourful and topped with a variety of vegetables. A very rich dish that was a little too salty for us but the waitress explained that they had a new chef. The berry cheesecake was the best sweet ending to the meal. It's very rich and creamy so I would advise sharing it with a friend. The place is very nicely decorated. All the plants draping down from the ceiling combined with the tasteful decor made me feel like I was in a fairy tale. Our waitress was also really nice and attentive despite it being rather busy.A wonderful dining experience overall. I would definitely drop by again next time I'm in Edmonton.

The Moth Cafe with its sister Cafe Mosaic on the south side of Edmonton continue to serve excellent cuisine - Moth's menu is totally plant based and likely the only one of its kind in the city. Turmeric tea with macadamia milk presented so elegantly was absolutely yummy in both taste and nutrition. Jackfruit crab cake benny with coconut cream served with fries or salad is one of my favourite. The ambience is wonderful with lots of green plants including, a thriving banana tree which one day will bear fruit. Plant based diet is highly recommended to decrease carbon foot print and the Moth is definitely making a difference and grateful for all that they do..

We had the mellow yellow, the lucid lavender peppermint lattes, and the banana walnut loaf for takeout when we visited the Moth Cafe. Both drinks were quite good although my preference was for the mellow yellow. The loafs were also quite good. The combination of the drink and loaf made for a nice treat on a walk through the river valley.

Moth Cafe does what every vegan restaurant should do, they made delicious food without focussing on trying to fake non vegan options. We got the pancakes and jackfruit benedict. The food felt like it had an Indian tone based on the flavours and how most breakfast staples were replaced with vegan options.

I have never had proper vegan food before and let me tell you if you wanna try vegan food this is the place to go. I had the (Not) Chicken Burger and fries. Even the fries were to die for. I felt bad I couldn’t finish the food, so I took it home and devoured the rest. My sister had the Benny, and my friend had the pancakes. The food was beautiful. The chai latte was FANTASTIC, the server was so nice, and the place itself is GORGEOUS. I will definitely be back as a repeat customer.

We went around 2pm on Sunday and got in without a wait and with parking spots available. It's bright and beautiful in there with all the windows and I love their plants! It's also kind of cool in there as a result too so bring a sweater.

My wife and I had some time to go out lunch while in Edmonton for an appointment, so we decided to check this place out. It was amazing! The mushroom Mocha was great, it has a deep and complex flavour that really impressed me, not to mention it was beautiful (pictures attached). I ordered the Jackfruit Crabcake benny and it was absolutely delightful, my wife had a few bites and said it was the second best crabcake she’d ever had, which is saying a lot given that it’s jackfruit, not crab, and her family’s originally from Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. We converted to a vegetarian diet less than a year ago, and it’s places like this that make it so much easier and fun to do so. Coming from Red Deer, I’m not used to Edmonton’s massive array of vegan options, but the Moth Cafe was a very memorable first and I will definitely be coming back. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, our waitress was amazing. It’s a bit pricey, but for the quality it’s more than worth it.

I came here recently to try their Edmonton Dining Week special - Purple Yam Risotto with 2 pieces of Jackfruit Crab Cake and Chocolate Mousse. The Jackfruit Crab Cake is definitely worth trying. The Purple Yam Risotto was really good as well where the rice (cooked with the sauce), shiitake mushrooms, purple yam, and brussels sprouts stood out the most. The chocolate mousse was quite rich. Overall, it was good food at excellent value (given that it was a dining week special).

My wife and i really enjoyed the Moth. The staff are very freindly and the cafe has a really nice ambience to it. Although we had never been to a Veg/ Vegan restaurant before, we found the menu broad and appealing. The Risotto and Burger that we had were excellent, in fact they were even better the day after ( take home). I would certainly recommend the Moth to anyone Vegan/Veg or not. Planning on going again.
