We were here early(before 9am) so the place wasn't busy. The service was fantastic, has a cute atmosphere. The food was good although I was a bit disappointed that the waffle was cold. They make a bunch of waffles ahead of time(I can understand when it's busy why they do this, but it was not busy). Having my hot food on a cold waffle was a disappointment. Duck fat potatoes were not as good as OEB's but okay. Prices were reasonable.
Just go and have breakfast or brunch here today or tomorrow. My husband and I were in Edmonton for our daughter's basketball tournament so when looking for a breakfast place we landed at Bro'kin Yolk. It was full but there was room at the counter so we accepted the spots and were not disappointed. A waffle sampler was given to us to try before we ordered and it was fantastic. The food was amazing but to watch this amazing team work, smile, laugh and get food out in amazing time and a beautifully plated breakfast was incredible. Then we tasted the food. Best breakfast we have had in a very long time. This is definitely a place we will head back to. I know there is a couple in Calgary so excited to try them out at home as well. Thanks Yogi for the team pic and the conversation Sunday morning.
I used to hit up this place every time I went to Calgary. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out it opened a location in Edmonton, right by IKEA no less. The food is just as good as I remember. The duck fat hash is legendary, and the Benny drool-inducing.It’s definitely become our go-to breakfast spot before a Saturday IKEA binge.Highly recommend it!
Found this cute little place in south common with scrumptious brunch options. Loved everything about the place from friendly staff to delicious food.Open kitchen, cute wall art and big windows make this place more inviting.Order:Bro’s Breakfast: Tried this kind of dish for the first time. It looked like Hawaiian breakfast what i read online. Flavourful sausages served with Jasmine rice, tomato salsa and sunny side up eggs was a complete hit.Seoul-Wich: Our sever recommended this if you are not looking for so healthy option. As the name sounds, it was a Korean style fried chicken with lots of toppings served on a brioche bun.Rating:Taste - 4.5/5 (loved both the dishes)Serving Size - 4.5/5Service - 5/5 (Staff was welcoming and friendly)Ambience - 4/5Price - 4.5/5I think i am going to visit this place very soon again.
GO HERE FOR BREAKFAST!!! As a real estate broker I've been to many restaurants but this one is like NO OTHER!Justin was our server and he is a secret blessing and humanitarian treat. Hes a very kind helpful person and made this experience even better.I had the Bro-kin Bro Breakfast and if its your first time going, I would highly recommend this meal. Also, this restaurant was started by 2 brothers...hence the name...BRO - KIN. Also when you visit this amazing place, please note the servers Shirts...they have inspirational sayings on the back of them.If you want to start your day off right...or need some comfort food...or just need a bit of kindness....you need to go here.!You will not be disappointed.Thank you Justin for making our meeting such a beautiful experience and enjoying epic food. Great Job Bro-kin Yolk!
My wife and I decided to invest, in a property in Edmonton. While there taking possession of the property, we stopped into The Bro’Kin Yolk and it was amazing. We had the Florentine Benny on the first visit and the chicken and waffle on the second visit. The food was so amazing!! we had a lemon berry French toast to go?.. A definite must visit!!!!!! can’t wait for our next Edmonton trip.
A couple of years ago while on a trip to Calgary, we decided to go to the Bro'kin Yolk. The wait for a table was pretty long but the food and good customer service was well worth it. The Edmonton location was much of the same when we had brunch there just yesterday morning. Our waitress was very pleasant and funny. The food was great and arrived pretty quickly considering how busy they were for a Monday. The only reason I would give 4.5 stars if I could is the portion sizes. For the prices of the breakfast poutines, you would expect a little more food on your plate. But on the other hand, the price of everything seems to be going up these days.
Finally! A new cute brunch spot on the south side of Edmonton.New to Edmonton and originally from Calgary, The Bro’Kin Yolk is located in South Edmonton Common! This was my first time trying this restaurant and I was pleased with my experience. The restaurant had a fresh, bright and modern feel that created a welcoming environment. They’ve got super kind employees and a pretty nice menu to match!I came here for a friends birthday, and being the first one to arrive, the server gave me a plate of 3 Mini Belgian Waffles and all the different sauces.. ON THE HOUSE. I really wasn’t expecting these to be anything special, but they ended up being my actual favourite thing I had that afternoon. The salted caramel sauce was to die for, so much do that I considered buying the take home jar!For my brunch, I ordered the Apple Pie French Toast and House Cured Bacon Breakfast Poutine! The French toast was delicious, you really can’t go wrong with a Apple cinnamon dish. However, I do think it was missing a sort of richness. Maybe, a heavy cream or more caramel sauce. I also felt like the graham crumble was a little too grainy for the whole dish. As for the poutine, the menu really had me at duck fat but truthful, it was not as good at how it sounded. Not to say it tasted bad, but it was just a little lacklustre. I did really enjoy the hollandaise thought,As I expressed earlier, I am super happy there is a new brunch spot in the south of Edmonton. Best believe you’ll surely see me back at Bro’Kin Yolk to over indulge in those mini waffles ?
The Bro’Kin Yolk was delicious! I loved some of the Filipino inspired dishes! The eggs, the bacon, potatoes and toast were made to perfection! Definitely coming back to try more of the brunch options and take advantage of the bottomless coffee!
Can't recommend Bro'Kin Yolk enough. The food is a step above my initial expectations and has all of the classics expected of a brunch place plus a few extras. My personal favorite has been the bowls, I never knew how well eggs and rice would be together until visiting here. The pork belly is addicting which brings me back at least once a month. So now that you know that the food is good let's talk about how they treat there customers. It's great. This is one of the only restaurants that try to remember our names, we truly feel like regulars.
