The Bedouins is definitely a hidden gem of the northside! Their North African dishes offer a unique taste of the beloved shawarma and kebab. The chefs cook everything to perfection and the service is top notch!Mohamad was very accommodating and charming, explaining the menu to our party and giving us great recommendations. The well seasoned lamb was super tender and juicy and paired perfectly with the mildly salty/spicy couscous and caramelized onion. If you're here on the weekend, do not hesitate to get this dish!
We're are traveling for a week, and this was by far the best restaurant experience we have had. Amazing service, delicious dishes, numerous compliments of the chef (soups, hummus, tea + coffee).
Ordered takeout… called beforehand to confirm what came with each meal. Was assured what we were seeing was correct. Picked up our food, got home, and were missing 2 salads and pita bread which was supposed to be included. Phoned to inform them and we had to pickup what we were missing. Upon arrival to pickup the missing items, my boyfriend was greeted very poorly; i guess were in the wrong and that there was ‘no mistake made’. If portions were to share, should be made clear instead of the description saying ‘2 salads’, that is taken as 2 separate dishes- not 1 to share between two people. Was really looking forward to trying this place and hopefully returning, but for the prices with what you're getting is not worth it.Photo included for the salad, supposedly to share between two people. My food order description stated: “Mixed Grill KabaabsIncludes one chicken and one beef skewers, rice, fries, and TWO side salads.”Tasty nonetheless
I am from Southeast Asia and I don't dress fancy. Usually people will discriminate us and provide a different service, but I don't feel discrimination in this restaurant; in fact, I feel welcome. The food is SO GOOD! each one of the food have flavors in it, when it combine together, the taste compliment each other. We order lamb mendi, chicken tajeen, and grilled chicken. We received a salad, hummus dipping, soup, and a French fries for my children. The price might look intimidating, but the food portion and quality IS REALLY WORTH THE PRICE!The chicken tajeen have yellow rice and a half whole chicken, the chicken is soft including the breast part. The hummus dip and the sauce/soup that comes with the Lamb mendi is super tasty, I could literally eat with everything!I DON'T leave any leftovers, even the sauce and the hummus, all plates is clean.(That shows how good the food is)When I walk to the washroom, the art picture on the wall made me feel I am in the middle East. The food presentation with the unique plate and a tall cover also made me feel a middle East experience.I don't know why, but Somehow I feel like home. It's a small place, but it has a GREAT QUALITY AND SERVICE!My husband very picky eater, he rarely give a compliment but he said thank you to me for bringing him to the Bedouins restaurant.I came home very happy.Thank you very much for everything, please keep your warm welcome and quality of food and service.May God bless you and your family.
Amazing place to try a different twist to the regular Mediterranean cuisine you find in Edmonton! Love the chicken kebab, lentil soup, and the Mashweeya Dip which is a spicier version of a Baba ghanoush. Very friendly staff which made it so delightful dining there.Highly recommend this cozy restaurant!
I finally got around to visiting this North African haven, and I can’t believe I hadn’t gone here sooner! The Bedouins is a small restaurant that is mighty in culture and flavour. Upon entry, you are immediately greeted with a lively and buzzing atmosphere. I think what makes dining here is most memorable is just how AMAZING the staff is. They are truly all so kind, welcoming and hilarious, they really make you feel at home.Excited and hungry as ever, we ordered the Lamb Mandi, the Tagine Chicken, and the Couscus Liebi. I promise you everything was divine. From the entrees, to the starter pita and humus, to the soup and salad. Delicious! The lamb was super tender and chicken was nice and moist. The rice in both of those dishes was tasty. I really enjoyed the couscus as well, it had such an amazing flavour profile. It had like a roasted spice element to it, but also slightly sweet. The only thing that could have maybe taken the dishes up a notch was a little extra salt. Other than that, the whole meal was so delicious and really expanded my love for Mediterranean and Arabian cuisine outside their more common dishes.
I gotta admit, this is hands down my favourite place to eat! It’s 100% the best North African food in Canada. Staff is welcoming and kind. I get two plates from here the roasted chicken and the smoked lamb. I’ve never had better Lamb!! Keep up the good work guys. Happy to have a place like this in the city!
One word AMAZING! We first tried the Bedouins via UberEats and were in awe of the complexity of flavours in their dishes. Their lentil soup is by far the best in the city. We recently decided to visit the restaurant in person, and were left in awe by the high quality food and incredibly hospitable service! Our server was kind, helpful and generous! Their dips are complex, the meats are fresh, well seasoned and grilled perfectly.Although all dishes were exceptional, our personal favourites were the Lamb Mendi, and the grilled chicken!I’d highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family. We will definitely return!
My wife and I went to this restaurant because of a recommendation and we were both blown away by the quality of the food and service. I had the lamb Mendi and my wife had the chicken skewers and we would highly recommend both. The hummus, as my wife said, was the best hummus she had ever tasted. They also served soup, salad, pita and two types of spread. We both would highly recommend.
Great place to experience something new. I was served with a soup, pita, hummus and the main dish. The taste is like Middle eastern flavor. If you like spices and meat, this is a good place to try northern African and Moroccan food. I just hope that the staff and chef would have masks on all the time. Keep it up.
