Not bad place for Mexican food.Beef chimichanga is really good. The crispness of tortilla with the ground beef. When you the salsa to the dish it enhances the chimichanga, too bad the employees do not give packets of hot sauce. I think it will add more kick to the chimichangas. The mixed fajita burrito is okay nothing special. I know there is beef and chicken in it but there is no texture in the burrito to differentiate the beef and chicken. Not much flavour as I don't taste any hint if lime nor cilantro. Was there guacamole??? I don't see it in my takeout bag.The next dish I was disappointed with was the taters. You get small amout of taters for the amount you pay for.Next time I will try the tacos. But for sure I will buy chimichangas.
Ordered for the first time today for my family. The chicken chimichanga had too many onions, would be fine if they were sautéed but they were pretty fresh and an overload of them other than that it was pretty delicious. The tostada was the same. It was also very salty and didn’t have much of that taco taste that we were hoping for. Would possibly try again but would definitely ask for no onions lol.
I LOVED Tacos on Whyte. The tiny store has a nice atmosphere. I enjoyed the fish tacos. I would absolutely recommend this store.-Cory Mojito
Highly recommend place. Quality of the food was amazing, plus the price was not bad. The lady working at the counter was very friendly person.Keep it up!
If there is such a thing as culinary justice, this place will go under in a month. The beef and shrimp taste like refried grease. I'm 90% sure the salsa is actually no name pasta sauce. There is nothing else to taste apart from burnt grease and weirdly processed tomato sugar. This meal was easily one of the worst I've ever paid for. Just say no.
Some of the most tastiest burritos and Mexican food you will taste. This place is a gem of Edmonton, great place for.a casual date to sit by Whyte AVE, enjoy tasty yummy food and very affordable
Ordered Beef tostada. Was not impressed. Was seasoned too much, an still tasted very bland. For being taco house on Whyte Ave I had higher expectations. I will not be back.
Came in before closing and people who I believe are the owners are very welcoming to take our orders. We got our food very fast and hoped with how fast food came out that the food would be just as good as their service. Food looked delicious, but the chicken was salty, beef was bland, fish was bitter, and the shrimp was decent. We were satisfied with the amount of food we received, but the price is outrageously overpriced. I expected to eat traditional Mexican tacos, but after the experience, I later found out their style is “TexMex”. I read the reviews and many people agree as well with my experience. I notice the owner replies very passive aggressively towards constructive critsisms and gloats how they have been running for more than a decade, but my advice is if they want to stay for another decade be prepared to listen to “negative” comments by improving the menu. I do not mind spending $30 or more because I am glad to support a small local business in the city, but the quality was not worth $30.Update: this was our first experience at this location and reading your comment I have no idea who these people are but it is clear that people are still having bad experiences. The owner took my constructive criticism too personally.
I work around the corner from this restaurant and have been going regularly since they opened. Great little place off the beaten path! The portions are good and the service is great! Their tostada wraps are amazing!
I ordered from here for the first time tonight and I can say if your craving tacos this is the place to go also they have an amazing chimichanga.
