Quite a wait but not bad. Better getting inside the store than drive thru.
Coffee is usually good, my only issue is the long wait times. 15-20 minutes waiting in the mornings/lunch time when there are 3-4 cars ahead in the drive thru. It’s bizarre because they do not look understaffed. I would absolutely avoid going here in the mornings if you cannot wait a while.
Half an hour for one cold brew because they had multiple orders of 7+ drinks before me, couldn't just slide the one drink my way, and it just reminded me why I never go to Starbucks. The staff I dealt with was very nice though. 1 star because Starbucks sucks but 5 stars to Ty who had to deal with everything... like you're a saint for how patient you are.
25 minute drive thru wait because of a "delivery". We pulled up to the window and seen 7+ employees in there and only a couple of them were working. Extremely disappointing. Won't be returning to this location via drive thru or in store. When the wait is that long there should be some sort of compensation for customers waiting that long.
I went in after I did some work. The seats were super soft and the staff were really nice. What wasn't nice was that they let someone blast music and drink an alcoholic beverage across from me. It was terrible on my senses.
I waited for 20mins for my drinks and had to ask why they haven’t even started on my drinks. And then they said their shots machine was not working. I don’t know why no one couldn’t told me this earlier. So I just asked them to give me some brewed coffee they have at the moment when I paid for speciality coffees. They should’ve told us what happened before I asked and I can just cancel my order and leave. Instead of being late for work and didn’t even get the coffees I wanted and paid for.
I was at this starbucks today with a friend for coffee. When we walked in, we didn't even get a salutation, instantly we had a staff member ask me where my mask was.I stated that I had a medical exemption and was not required to wear one. There was no one else in the store at the time and it took 5 minutes for the staff to acknowledge us. When we walked up to the till to order, the guy on the till handed me a mask, I stated again that I have a medical exemption and I am not required to wear a mask. Then he proceeded to tell me that he can not serve me and that I will have to leave. I stated again, that this is against the AHS policy, and that a medical exemption applies to me as I have a doctor's certified letter. He was very rude and told me that he is not talking to me cause I do not listen. I was appalled at his behavior and asked to speak to the manager. An older lady came over and told me that I was not allowed to be served as this is Starbucks policy. I told her this is not the policy, as I am in the store often and have never been hassled. I asked her to go get the policy and show me proof of it. I also provided AHS' policy for medical exemption. After 5 minutes the staff came back and told me that I was correct and there was no issue with serving me.I was appalled at the lack of experience these staff members have. And the rudeness of all the staff at this location, no to mention how embarrassing this experience was, when I have to argue my Medical rights with staff that have zero medical training or knowledge. We are 2 years into a pandemic and no one understands policy or the requirements for COVID.I will never attend a starbucks again due to this experience. And I will boycott all Starbucks products.
I have ordered the Everything Croissant & Roasted Ham Sandwich WITHOUT the ham more than a few times, Despite mentioning that I don't eat bacon, I wasn't made aware that the bacon is taken out from the pre-made sandwich, which is defrosted and warmed up before handing to the customer! Kind of disappointed that I only discovered this on a hunch and I wasn't informed of this prior to ordering! so the people who are who are vegans, vegetarians and those who don't eat pork products and avoid cross contamination of meats BEWARE! I am revising my rating from 5 to 3 Star because of this experience, going forward we will only order from the vegetarian menu. Their, seasonal drinks are worth the wait and service is quick on the drive through.
Great location, close to mainstreet on 170st , I love going to Starbucks but I believe Starbucks could do away with charging extra for no ice or milk alternatives since there are many people with dairy intolerant, etc. Besides all hot drinks includes milk so why not allow customers to choose their preferences instead of the standard dairy milk, starbuck please look into this and consider milk alternatives as standard otherwise customers are forced to pay extra for individual drink preferences but it not our fault to be lactose intolerant.
Unfortunately the slowest Starbucks in Edmonton. Come at any time if there’s cars in the drive through you will be waiting at least 3-5 min per car I front of you. If you walk in you will get your order much faster. I try to avoid this location at all costs.
