Came in at 10:45am and it took 5 min before someone grabbed us and got us a seat. My wife (pregnant) and I have been looking forward to having some skillets. 2 more groups came in and the ladies got them seated and took their order, meanwhile 15 mins later we are still waiting for anyone to come and atleast greet us and take our order. Me and my wife walked away at 11:05 as that is the worst customer service we have ever experience. WORST. 20 min of waiting is unacceptable especially if there were only about 7 to 9 tables including the 2 groups that came in after us.

My darling friend Judy bought breakfast as a thank you for driving her around. They let us sit and talk forever. Food was standard and service was okay to great. I have almost zero complaints. Well don't go here expecting five star food, but do go here for a comfortable atmosphere.
We had an excellent waitress serving us. Jade and was pleasant, efficient and worked well getting the order from my senior mother. I ordered a Canadian Burger, the others ordered various other breakfast foods with eggs and skittle/meat combinations. The general opinion of the people with me was the breakfast food was okay but not spectacular. Now, the burger. The Canadian burger was cooked, assumed to be microwaved, shrunken and unappetizing. It was cold after the second bite. The lettuce was fresh but the few onions were rubber-like in taste. There was a meager helping of Smittys sauce but I couldn't taste it in the burger. After the second bite I was unwilling to continue. There wasn't any Canadian-like in the burger. They may want to change the name of this menu item. It's more fitting to call it a Putin burger as it was cold, unappealing, and tasteless. Just like its namesake.
First time visiting since the pandemic started. Food was great and kids eat free on Fridays was a bonus. Won't be waiting so long for our next visit.
Tonight I called to find out if the restaurant was open, it was not, so the guy said the pub side was open, I told him I had a 15yr old with me, he suggested the Brewhouse. He also gave me the address!!! This guy is awesome and I cant wait to come experience Smittys at Northgate one of these days!!
The manager mike is very helpful and really watches the establishment. Linda the daytime lounge bartender is great too very professional and friendly. I really enjoy the place

Order the Meat Skillet and Breakfast meals on the regular. They are always a ton of food and well cooked.
Fantastic Smitty’s experience. Excellent customer service. Decent diner menu. Nice little touches for comfort and convenience missing from many diner spots such as coat hooks on the booths. Manager came by to speak with our table. Textbook midrange Canadian diner experience, which is what we were going for.
