My 12 year old daughter and I visited for lunch today. We LOVED it! It was delicious and our server was so friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had the Bento box and a dynamite roll. Everything was amazing! The Bento box came with soup and salad and gave various options. On another note, the water was cold and refreshing and our server kept our glasses full. There is an option to eat outside or in. I would definitely recommend Shoyu Sushi!
We saw the high reviews of this place so wanted to give it a try. I do not understand how legitimate reviews would rate this place so high. The service was great, the food was mediocre at best. Probably slightly better than a Japanese fast food. They didn't have some items we wanted on the menu but the prices were reasonable (slightly higher than a Japanese fast food). So overall, I would say it's an average 3 stars.
One of the best sushi spots Edmonton has to offer! A nice cozy atmosphere with super friendly and very accommodating staff! *thumbs up* I had the dynamite roll and then ordered the spicy tuna roll - it was soooo fresh!Also had the chicken karaage which was good (though I just wish it offered a bit more white meat + seasoning, but otherwise still good!) I 100% recommend if you're having a sushi craving!
Super fresh, clean location, and affordable.Large patio if you want to eat out.Good service too.Also really good happy hour menu with large portions.
Went here on a whim. And I am glad me and my friend did! Servers were great and attentive and the food all tasted great! I took off a star because they were quite heavy on the rice and its totally not needed! Food was really tasty and good portions minus the super thick rice they had on them. I wanted to give 5 stars but the rice ratio was too much! If they fix that, and i’m sure they will, it will be a great sushi place! The hamachi sashimi and the volcano roll (minus the thick rice) was fantastic!!! Definitely a place i will recommend to friends to try!
Pretty new AMAZING Japanese Restaurant!! Their Sashimi is off the HOOK!! Soooooo FRESH!!! Ramen was delicious! Service was good. It will be a go to spot for me. Can't wait to try their box!If you're looking for amazing Sashimi cuts that are epically fresh this is the place! A must go to!!!
We got five rolls/pressed sushi sets, a sashimi platter, and more salmon sashimi. These sushi pieces are huge but still very tasty. They pack an avocado piece into every bite inside the rice!!! Platter + 4 rolls would be good enough for four average eaters. We had take out and it still tasted fresh. Will come back here again!
I’m so glad I found Shoyu Sushi! The food was phenomenal - I had the bento box and everything was sublime. The maki was perfectly done and I could tell everything was made fresh. I would make a trip downtown just to eat here! Service was also very friendly and prompt.
Great late night spot for some sushi. It’s conveniently located in downtown on the corner of District Cafe. They open until midnight on Friday and Saturday, which is pretty awesome. Overall I think their rolls were probably the best out of all the dishes ordered.I don’t think there are any designated parking spaces specifically for the restaurant but there are plenty of street parking nearby (generally free after 6:30pm).
New fave sushi spot in Edmonton! Me and my boyfriend loveee sushi, we’ve been looking for a new spot because we feel other places have lacked in quality.The service is amazing!The food is delicious, it is soo fresh and tasty!They also have oysters which I was super excited about.In love with the restaurant, we’ve gone every weekend so far and will continue!
