Food here? Amazing. The mushroom udon was exactly as described. Not too creamy but just right. The service here is amazing: Kyle our waiter and Parker were great! He, Kyle, recommended the favourites and I gotta tell you, it is sooo affordable and soo good and this place wasn't packed either. Really nice lights if you sit outside. The music was fire: old school hip hop and R&B... Just come here. Try it out and click the helpful button while you're at it. There is a spice I loved that was on the mango chicken wings called toga rashi. The corn was delicious: the Mayo concoction was amazing too. Great work! ?

Fabulous place. I was warmly welcomed by the amazing waitress and quickly seated. The place is sound and sweet. Tried the Udon Mushroom dish and it was quite delicious. very creamy and subtle, but satisfying flavor. pretty good portion size especially if you have an appetizer or two before. definitely a 9/10. also tried the salmon sashimi which tasted BEST with the horseradish/wasabi and the side of soya sauce.

Great friendly Izakaya experience with delicious varied plates and cocktails. Whether alone or with a group, it's a nice setting nestled in a lower level. Fantastic patio.

This past visit was our second visit to this restaurant within a 6 month period. I refrained from posting a review the first time because of an incident that happened during our first visit that left me with a water soaked back and pants. That is now water under the bridge.During both visits we had parties of 10+. The service was exceptional. We received our orders in a timely manner. The quality is amazing and the food is delicious. We will absolutely come back next time we are in town.Well done to the staff and crew at Shoji Izakaya!

The food here was delicious, oishii AF. The sushi tasted fresh, with perfectly cooked rice. We also ordered sushi pizza, the patatas bravas, halloumi, karage, and both udon dishes, and then the panna cotta for desert. All were nothing short of excellent. Service was quick and friendly, decor and atmosphere very nice. We'll be back. If you're reading this, stop your search of where you want to eat right now, this is it.

Food and drinks were excellent and the venue itself is very nice. I ordered an item that specifically states it can be made vegan (the edamame usually comes with butter and honey). The people I was with also ordered one. When the waitress set both bowls down it was clearly without distinction between the two. I asked her, "is this the vegan one?" She said "Yes" without hesitation. I said, "Are you sure?" Again, "Yes." After several minutes of examining it and some taste testing I knew without a doubt it wasn't vegan. When she came back I said as much and she immediately apologized and took it away and came back with the correct one. Which was delicious. So just...be careful if you have dietary restrictions. It was definitely a busy night but even upon my questioning the waitress I was shut right now.

First time here. After hearing about this from a few people, finally decided to give this place a try. Was kinda expecting the same kind of experience as Dorinku Osaka/Tokyo but I was quite underwhelmed by the food flavour.Salmon sashimi cuts were one of the thinnest cuts that I have ever had.The torched pressed sushi was quite overloaded with sauce and so the salmon flavour was kind of diminished. And $18 for such small amount is quite high when compared to how much you’d get at Dorinku. My favourite was the deep fried chicken. However, that kind of defeats the purpose as the sushi and sashimi should be the defining factor for the restaurant.Lastly the price was also kinda excessive as well. For 125 dollars that I spent for a party of 2, I expected much more.

Had an amazing dinner with here with friends. Angus was an awesome server. He gave great recommendations for each person's individual taste for cocktails and recommended some of his favourite food items. The cocktails here are beautifully balanced and the food is spectacular. We all really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be going back.

Overall not a bad experience. Food decent. Octopus, clams, haloumi very nice. Sushi cones, pressed salmon roll, not so much, too much rice in my opinion. Drinks very good. Staff, needs a lot of improvement. Hostess/barman very loud, too enthusiastic and unpleasantly rude, a male waiter completely inappropriate, has no clue how to deal with customers. Christina the waitress, nice, professional. Portions on the small side, prices on the high side. Overall good potential with a significant room for improvement.

First time eating here. The place is very nice and cozy. Food has the right amount of flavour and staff and service is very good.
