Attended the restaurant for chicken pot pie. The dish was amazing.Samantha is a phenomenal waitress. She has a fantastic sense of how to present the menu to the customer and recommend great food choices. She is also highly efficient in terms of delivering food, then taking orders, and clearing tables. All of that leads to quick and seamless turnover, which leads to getting your food more quickly.I would definitely recommend this place for an evening food order downtown.
Went for a drink and bite to eat before the Oilers game.Great food, service and drink specials.$9 double long islands were awesome. The mini Yorkshire puddings and wings were delicious.Nice decor in a cute building.Only thing I'd change is make the booths tables higher.
Awesome bar in downtown Edmonton, perfect for a drink after an Oilers game. Perfectly situated close to the major hotels and the Ice District, my only beef is with the doors to the mall being closed so we had to walk around, outside, in the chilly wind, to get back to the Delta, but that's not Sherlock's fault! The Deep fried Beer Cheese and Rarebit sauce with pretzel bites were awesome - I highly recommend them!
Came on a Sunday 6:30 pm. We sat ourselves in a booth. The atmosphere was quiet. The service was prompt and friendly-maybe a little too much. The soft pretzels were good. The Buffalo chicken cesar wrap came without buffalo sauce. I wouldn't order it again. Overall we had a nice experience. My only real complaint would be the height of the table. It felt extremely low, I like to cross my legs and I couldn't.
The food and drinks were very good and I would definitely come back again. The only issue we had was the service. When we asked for our food to be packed in a to-go box, the server half-heartedly dumped about 3/4 of the food in the container and left with the rest. She also took away one of our drinks before it was finished.Great food, but service was meh
On the surface, this is a proper English style pub, with a beer selection that is not super impressive, and it's a little cramped inside, but that's not unlike my favorite pubs in London. It balances this against service and live music selections make it better than most pubs. However, what makes this pub truly special is it's feel, style, location, and soul. It is a tiny, wooden cottage, tucked away in the middle of a towering landscape of steel and concrete. When navigating the city center, this little oasis seems incredibly out of place, and that makes it a can't miss for us whenever we are in Edmonton for an Oilers game or downtown on business. If you've never been to this pub, it is absolutely worth checking out.
We walked in and we’re interested in sitting down and having a couple drinks to try this place out for our first time. The bar tender, which I assume is likely the owner, asked us to put on a mask, so we can walk two feet to a table then we can take our mask off. I proceeded to let him know we are mask exempt. He lightly shook his head and said “there is no such thing as mask exemption in this place” so we said thank you and we left. We will not be supporting businesses that don’t accept or support mask exemptions.
Went to hit up happy hour with a friend. Went for 50% off wine thurs. Got the white. Also got the mac and cheese. Which was on special. Separately they were yuck but together they really accentuated each other. Mac and cheese was good with salt, pepper and jalapenos. Service was average.
We went after seeing a Christmas Carol at the citadel, and this place really added to the Christmas spirit vibe of the night. Place is decked out and the trees out front covered in all this snow was really pretty. Thanks for the nice time!
Love this spot! We come back again and again, it's a great atmosphere. We are usually taken care of by the red haired waitress (Kristen I believe), she is so bubbly and fantastic!Had the Beyond bangers and mash which is a new addition to the menu; it was so good, and it's nice to have a few options to pick through as a veg!
