I don’t like to write harsh reviews but this was the worst bbq I ever had. We ordered burnt ends, jambalaya and a side of fries. The burnt ends were as rubbery as you can imagine, the jambalaya was poorly seasoned and unfortunately microwaved and the fries were overly salty. Our server was a wonderful girl who was the only server working both tables and the bar! I would avoid this place like a plague if I wanted bbq!

Really wanted to like this place. Found all the meat tough. Not well trimmed, even the beans and cauliflower were undercooked. Seasoning was delicious. Hopefully they find their groove.

Boring cookie cutter restaurant. Fries are probably brought in frozen. BBQ pork was ok. Bread pudding just a mess and badly done.Could be like a nice place, but not very professional.

It's been over 2 years since we last visited, and it was pretty good. Was pleased to see they landed on a BBQ identity, at opening what was on offer seemed unfocused, kind of scattershot pub fare.Enjoyed the brisket, which was overall tender and moist, but also fairly dry in some areas. I get there's going to be some variation, but I'm only remarking on it because it seemed extreme. They don't provide nearly enough sauce for the serving, and extra is going to cost a dollar. Other joints are happy to show off their house sauces, and when you're hooked, they sell their various creations, bottled. That's the smarter approach; even if it's not for sale, a BBQ house's unique sauces can be the draw. For the accompanying sides, I had mac and cheese and slaw, and that was similarly a mixed experience. The macaroni was bland and slightly mushy, but had a good panko crust. The veggies of grandma's slaw seemed fresh, but their dressing was shockingly vinegar-sour without any nuance or complexity. If your gran has permanently puckered lips, this might be her recipe! There are glimpses of something good here, and it would be worth another shot in the future.Sidenote: the unironic boomer rock and roll dad song playlist was headache inducing. I guess it goes with the theme, but sitting through "Don't Stop Believin'," "Sweet Home Alabama," "Hotel California" and so on all in one meal was...an experience. It felt like I was stuck in a karaoke bar, but at least people are drunk and having fun there.

Stopped at Say Uncle prior to a recent Oiler game. It’s a cool little spot. Small and casual. Great friendly service and decent food. Menu is pretty BBQ focus and the brisket and hot chicken sandwiches were certainly good. The attraction is location to Rogers Centre and a pretty good craft beer list. Unfortunately a number of the beers on the menu were not available and beers on tap were pretty limited. If the beer selection was as advertised would certainly have a higher ranking.

First time having Southern BBQ with my friends, it was very good!! I'll for sure be coming back, our server was very nice and helpful. Do want to give a shout out to Tiffany in one of my classes for giving us some good suggestions for food and drinks here, thank you everyone!

Was excited to try Say Uncle last night, Jan 20, 2022, but unfortunately was disappointed. The Mac & cheese had no flavor, was very bland and cold. I really was shocked at how boring it was. It had no sauce and didn't taste like cheese. The chicken sandwich was ok. Will probably not return.

Good food, good service, good drinks. A friend and I had added this to a list of places to try. Arrived late afternoon for early dinner. Service was prompt, likely because we were the only guests. Tried a couple beers and settled for the chocolate stout, was rich and delicious. Burnt ends as an appy were tender and covered in bbq sauce, we both enjoyed them. Pulled pork with jalapeño corn bread (not spicy) and the beans as a main, was lots and tasty. Leftovers for the next day. Coffee and the chocolate bread pudding for dessert was a great way to end friends birthday meal.Decor is tavern meets your uncles basement for a party. Casual and relaxed with food to satisfy revellers.

This was the driest bbq, but somehow greasiest bbq at the same time????. Especially the chicken thighs, they were COVERED in oil but almost like jerky inside. The pulled pork, they pulled the pork and the juice outside of it. The briskets and the flavor were okay.Spending almost 100 dollars to get uneatable food is inexcusable and disappointing to say the least. I cannot say if my experience was an anomaly given the good reviews on google, but I will not return again to test my luck.

Great service and food. Large portions as well. I got the ribs with sides of jalapeño corn bread and apple slaw. Both were delicious. Wife got the pulled pork with dill potatoes which was also delicious and a side of panko Mac n cheese which was just ok. Her pulled pork was cooked to perfection but my ribs were a tad dry but they were fall off the bone and very full of flavour. The BBQ sauce provided for dipping did the job. It wasn't overly powerful and enhanced the flavour of the meat. We had enough leftovers for a full lunch the next day
