The hamburgers and onion rings were wonderful and there lots of varieties for milkshakes but we will never order another Milkshake again from Peter’s. They have so little flavouring that every milkshake tastes exactly the same as Vanilla.
The best onion rings in town, fries are still hand cut shoestring and they're great. I wish they made thick hand cut fries like back east in Ontario or Quebec, then maybe add some authentic cheese curd and a slow simmered hans made brown vegan gravy like the old hot dog places make in Montreal... just saying.
First time at Peter’s, and it’s great!I got a mango milkshake and it was great!I also got a cheese burger with peters sauce and the generosity of sauce was great. It was covered. As advice I recommend ordering a small fry because it’s still too much.I really enjoyed my food I hope you guys do too.
The burger was sub par, would give it a 3/5. The poutine was pretty decent, not quite enough cheese. Would give it 3.5/5. The milkshakes were absolutely delicious, 5/5!$21 for poutine double cheese burger and milkshake is a little hefty. Wouldn't say the burger is all that worth it
Finally got a chance to try this place yesterday. Expected it would be busy since it was around lunchtime. To my surprise I was the only customer. I ordered a double cheeseburger and a small French fry . The fry was a big portion but nothing special. The burger was a disappointment thin patties just the regular garnishes not like the picture on the website. A nice thick burger with lettuce tomato onions melting cheese on a nice fresh bun. That picture is why I went and not what I received. I was disappointed with this meal and would not recommend to anyone.
Great milkshake. Lots of flavors and very thick ? . Large portions. 1 order of fries or onion rings can be shared by 3 people. Good prices
So we heard about this place while driving around delivering uber meals. Apparently they have had a location in Calgary for years and expanded into Edmonton in the last year or so I believe. The vehicles lined up down a major road (gateway blvd). We wanted to try this place but couldn't wait that long in a line. We finally decided to try it yesterday. Yeah not worth the $35 for 2 burgers with 1 small fry and 2 shakes. The burger patties were so thin I was wondering where my meat was. Never done that before anywhere. The bun was huge and thick so I pulled all the excessive bun bread off. The banana shake looked and tasted pretty much like vanilla with an occasional hint of banana flavoring as I drank it. So boring. It was supposed to be home made hamburgers and I have never seen patties that thin. Homemade would never be that thin. The fries, the small fries size is definitely good enough for 2 people. Except they are the thin fries and almost 1/3 were over cooked and hard so we didn't eat them. The rest of the fries were delicious though. Totally not living up to the hype AT ALL. Won't be going back.
Where to begin? If I could give fractions of a star, I would. Skip the burgers, you can get a much better quality burger from the back of the fridge at your local convenience store. Bland patties doused in some kind of watered down ketchup they disturbingly call "Peter Sauce". I admit, that should have been a red flag. In the 10 minutes it took to get this abomination home, Peter's illustrious sauce had returned the cheap, poor quality bun back into pink dough. The fries were tough, bland, and despite the big sign stating that "fries must go from fryer to customer", they sat for 5 minutes before even being bagged, let alone handed to me. They were completely inedible and had to be thrown away. Oh, but there was a lot of them, so I guess they think that makes it ok. My wife ordered "no sauce" on her cheeseburger, and apparently this place thinks cheese is a sauce. I would review the onion rings, but they neglected to even put the ones I paid for in the bag. I thought I'd try this place out because it's supposed to be some kind of Calgary institution, but again, that alone should have been a red flag. Avoid at all costs. I will never be back, and I'll make sure to spread the word about how awful this place is far and wide to anybody who will listen.
The staff are nice, location is clean. However the food must be some sort of nostalgia thing for people because I don't get it. The burger patties are the cheap frozen pre-made patties you'd get in any discount grocery store.
This place has been so hyped up. It's an average burger joint. Nothing more. The burger patties looked like the frozen ones you get from your grocery store.
