We have a usual sushi place we frequent, but we were in a time crunch and we found in the north side hub Facebook page that there were many great reviews about mt.fuji so we were excited to try a new place closer to home. When we arrived was cool to see how they have the ordering set up you order right at the till once your ready we were greeted immediately by the staff. Once you order you take a seat where ever with your table number. We were with our baby and they brought out a little plate for her and didn't make me pay for a bottle of water instead they brought me a glass of water so that was a good option when she only drinks a few sips . The two (appetizers) Came out one after the other it was nice they got them out as soon as possible and then the sushi came out it was fresh and was very comparable to our usual place. We are happy to know we now have a new favorite place close to home.
Well the food looked good in presentation and service was fine. The sashimi and raw sushi were the most appalling I've had especially at the price of $40 for a love boat.. I would expect it to be good. Wouldn't recommend eating anything raw here lest you want to be disappointed in the quality of the food.
Great tasty food. 45 $ for two people. Fair price.
The Chicken and Beef Teriyaki is the BEST!! And it's 5 times better if you ask for an extra sesame sauce. That stuff is liquid gold.Call ahead for takeaway on the weekend, the wait is usually about 20 or 30 minutes during busy times.
Best in town! Sushi, Bento Boxes and more. This place is on NO food ordering services and is constantly busy. You have to sometimes call a few times. Worth it. Price and quality on point! Great place.
The most wonderful lunch experience eating on this restaurant after church. The food is soo delicious and I want to go back and bring my whole family.
Try this Mango Rolls for the first time. It was awesome delicious!
Good sushi and Bento boxes! ?? Deluxe bentos with lots of variety. The tempura is really good here too.
We've been coming to mt fuji for well over 10 years, in person at an old location and now take out from this location. Food is always very delicious, service is great. Everything is decently priced too so we can afford to go quite often.Oh, and the sesame sauce is addictive!
My favourite Japanese restaurant until New years eve. I happily waited 15 minutes for my order of one Sushi Boat and one Assorted Maki. This visit I was served flavorless undercooked rice. The rice felt like I was eating bones. Eventually I experienced an awful belly ache the next day from morning through to night. New years day I worked a 8 hr shift and I did not feel comfortable. I'm quite disappointed as I no longer believe food quality is of value and serving time is much more important to the team who worked on this particular day. Highly dissatisfied.Typically businesses would express a wait time. There are plenty of places for me to keep entertained while waiting for my order. I am confused as to what the rush was as it only caused me to get sick from the food. Why serve poison just to be on time? It makes no sense.I have a sensitivity to foods which manifest physically through belly aches, rashes, swelling, heart pulpitations which others may not develop. To say no one else had any issues is to, simply put, invalidate my experience. Is that the kind of business you are? To say you were busy which promted improper food handling is inexcusable. My throat and mouth swells from food contamination whereas my peers will not experience such symptoms. I can taste when food is spoiled and there are others who can't. You have expressed excuses to me. This review is dedicated to Poor food handling practices. Due to what? Up to an hour wait? The wait time is not the issue. The quality of food handling is what raises suspisions. Not everyone is as sensitive to undercooked rice. Shall I report my allergy of undercooked rice from now on to avoid this circumstance because no one else experienced a belly ache? Is serving undercooked rice ok because no one else has made a comment?
