My friend and I had a great time here we ordered two past dishes recommended and had some beers and whiskey. Just a reminder to make a reservation for Friday's and be ready for a dj by 9 that will make it difficult to have quiet conversation. Otherwise a really fun Friday outing!!
I had high expectations for MKT given it’s popularity. The restaurant is nice, but the food was nothing more than basic. I ordered “the burger” and my friend ordered the “mac n cheese”. The burger was stale and tasted like it was over cooked and left to dry. The patty was rock solid. The mac n cheese was also bland and tasted only like bacon. Aswell as this, It took the servers 15 minutes to bring us the bill when the place was empty. I’m not one to usually leave a review like this unless it’s really this bad of an experience.
Walking into MKT it was obvious that they weren't messing around. From the colossal wall of kegs, to one of the most stunning bars, to the smallest of details, the nods to it's past life (hello well worn stairs!).I was a little concerned at how close the tables are to primary thoroughfares as I walked in, but once the food and drinks arrived, I thought no more of that.The food is fantastic. Standard pub food, but done well and with an MKT twist. Never thought I'd have chicken nuggets this classy.I look forward to returning and experiencing the summer vibe OUTDOORS!Thanks MKT! Nice place. I've been here before for xmas parties.Big restaurant with 2 floors. I love that they kept the old train house vibes. The food is good too. I ordered the salmon bowl, very yummy

When our server first came up to us, she asked if we had any issues. I never thought I would regret saying no to a question so much.First and foremost, the lack of proper mask wearing we saw from the staff was infuriating, especially considering my wife was chastised there last year by an employee for her mask slipping below her nose while going to the washroom. In particular, one employee was wearing his mask below his chin the entire time we were there and as we were leaving, I could see the kitchen staff weren't wearing theirs at all.Our waitress was pretty nice, but I didn't appreciate how wasted she clearly was while serving us, which was particularly suspect being that it was a Sunday evening. I get it, a lot of people in the service industry drink on the job, but spilling our beers as you're serving them to us and completely forgetting about food we had ordered is a bad look. I really hope she didn't drive home.SPEAKING OF A BAD LOOK: our server loudly complaining to other patrons about having to get her vaccine. What was the deal with that??Overall, two stars. I am only giving MKT one star back because the food tasted good (that we actually received) and our server kindly helped us save money by charging us for one beer each instead of the two we all drank!

Ordered in wings and pretzels as a night snack. Service was fairly quick, delivery fee was low. Loved the fact that it came still hot. Salt and pepper wings were juicy, well cooked, which is a big deal for me. Korean BBQ had a nice little heat hit. Pretzels were soft and had the perfect amount of salt, again something that seems hard to do. I prefer to not get a mouthful of chewy salt. Price was fair and good value. We were honestly surprised at how good it was.

The Century Spritz is a must try!(Went Saturday Aug 21 ,2021 for dinner - family of 4)Non-existent service. They looked like they had a lot of staff, yet they looked very chaotic and short staffed. They have no idea where they can seat us even with a reservation booked...? Looked like a bunch of them just hung out at the bar till instead. Drinks took a long time, food took even longer. But i understand that the delay in food might be due to the event happening upstairs. Food was just PURE SALT... would have been nice if our server checked up on us and got us more water. I asked for a take out container ... she went to look for one, came back and decided to serve the table next to us instead. 10 min later i finally got my container...another 10 min we finally got to pay out bill. Yikes!
I rarely ever post reviews for anything (I actually think this might be my first time in years) but I just had to write one for this place. Their selection of beer is huge and their local selection is top notch too, and they have a great deal on for them on Thursday’s. Their service was great and the bartender that served me was very attentive. Now usually I wouldn’t write a review just cause of that since a lot of places are similar but the reason I am doing this is because of their Burger. I honestly don’t know what they did to it but my god, it was probably the best burger I have had in my life. Everything on it was portioned out so perfectly with the size of the two beef patty’s, the sauces and veggies on it. It almost made me wish I wasn’t in Edmonton for only a couple of days and could stay longer just to have it again.
